This is Great
- Law enforcement officers continue to search for three or four suspects involved in an attempted invasion robbery at a marijuana grow operation that erupted in a gunbattle between a homeowner and the robbers. One robber is dead, at least two other people are wounded and five are in custody.
It happened around 8:30 p.m. near Tiedman Road and Herron Road in Lakebay. Pierce County Sheriff's Department spokesman Detective Ed Troyer says there is a "substantial" marijuana grow operation in the home.
Troyer says as many as seven people may have been involved in the invasion.
"The homeowner was armed. We have a large amount of suspects, not just a few. We believe possibly up to six, seven suspects came to the residence to do a drug rip or residential robbery. The homeowner fired and there was a large gunbattle," said Troyer.
Two people, a suspect and the homeowner were shot. Their conditions were not immediately known. One of the suspects died at the scene. Troyer says a father and son were among the suspects. The man who was killed had a son who was wounded and found near the home.
Troyer says handguns and shotguns were used and there were about 50 rounds of spent ammunition at the scene.

Aim better next time. If you shitheads all kill each other, you save human beings the work.
Where was Goldstradamus and his crystal ball on this one? Its ok I'm trusting 100% (of someone else's life) that he won't drop the ball on the next shoot out/ home invasion...
AOL news needs a bunch of grieve for putting this intentionally misleading article up. Take a look at the first line.

(Oct. 8) -- An elderly couple say a Chicago police narcotics unit mistakenly raided their home late at night, causing thousands of dollars in damages.
This guy knows it was the CSSP.
I thought the pic was from you to Daley.
It's peculiar. This strikes me as the one time out of 1000 that all of the armament found around drug operations was actually used. The rest of the time, the police haul it away. Makes a good show for the TV cameras on "the table" with the dope and piles of cash. There was just recently a drug bust on the south side where a heavy-barrel AK with bipod and 75-round drum was confiscated. You would have had to whistle up the tanks to get them out of there if they'd wanted to dig in, fight back, and die.
I almost think they just buy this stuff because it's been popularized by the "thug life" music videos; after the cover art of "By All Means Necessary," every illiterate had to have a MAC-10 -- the one gun you'd do as well with holding it sideways, video-style, as any other way.
Fashion accessories. Like gold fronts, Nikes, chains.
At least no innocent people were hurt, and a bunch of guilty ones were.
(Oak Park doper, stay off this post. It does not prove any point that "you were just about to make" regarding drug legalization.)
Just one more reason to move toward legalization, for all this shit, not just marijuana.
You take the obsecene profit motive away from these goofballs, you'll see the violence associated with the dealing drop precipitously.
Seriously. You don't see heavily armed moonshiners raiding liquor stores over turf, do you?
Haaaaa-Haaaaaaaa!
We do love a good Shithead vs. Shithead shootout with multiple casualties!
The soon coming random acts of payback should be funnier than shit. You can always count on at least one in the aftermath rolling around on the pavement grimacing in pain with both hands on his ass...
"Just one more reason to move toward legalization, for all this s__t, not just marijuana."

Ah, here he is, just like clockwork, with the same groggy, Utopian imaginings endlessly repeated as articles of faith.
"You take the obsecene [sic] profit motive away from these goofballs, you'll see the violence associated with the dealing drop precipitously."
...and a concomitant precipitous increase in violent armed robberies, "protection" rackets, kidnapping-for-ransom, sophisticated insurance and real estate fraud, etc.
...or did you think that the criminal street gangs like MS-13 (they chop people up with machetes for collecting cans "on their turf") were just going to disband, going to throw up a peace sign and just sort of wander off into the Woodstockian haze?
Do you think that someone with his prison number tattooed across his forehead (and the rest of the face done as well, until you might as well be looking at Satan) is going to get a job?
"Seriously. You don't see heavily armed moonshiners raiding liquor stores over turf, do you?"
Not any more. The government won that war, any way you look at it. The tax stamps on every bottle and the licenses framed behind every bar and counter say so. I see heavily armed government agents enforcing tax collection and the licensing and regulation of all sales and manufacture of alcohol -- in some cases, the state operates those liquor stores itself. Licensing and distributorship decisions are often in the hands of corrupt politicians with ties to organized crime. Remember how Betty Loren-Maltese got her start, marrying into the Outfit and rocketing upwards from mere barmaid to Liquor Commissioner? How's Jesse Jackson Jr.'s Budweiser business going?
...or did you think that the government and the Mafia were just going to disband, walk away from billions of dollars, and leave everything to hippies, who will quietly barter goat's milk and "homespun hemp cloth" for da Kine?
How do The New Legal Drug Users propose to make a living...or did you think that drug testing will be proscribed, with employers forced by law to retain impaired workers?
"Seriously."

Send the new legalized drug dealers to Afghanistan, where there's plenty of guns and drugs.
