Where's Hubie?

  • A federal judge Monday ordered that the cost-cutting dismissals of hundreds of tenured Chicago Public School teachers be rescinded and new rules be established for their possible rehiring.

Chicago Teachers Union officials hailed the decision as a "stunning victory" for tenured teachers; CPS officials minimized it.

At issue was the dismissal of 749 tenured teachers who were "honorably discharged’’ without regard to seniority or tenure during a series of CPS economic layoffs this summer.

Once again, the Slum-Times carrying water for the Shortshanks administration. So how many city departments has he ruined now? And he's rumored to be coming back here?

Holy God. And Huberman nowhere in sight, humming "Duck And Cover," curled up in some corner waiting for the bang. That probably means triple back pay retroactive to their dismissal date.

This "education" is going to be the death of us.

And he's been oddly out of the picture with that school where the parents are sitting in until they get answers or get a library.

I mean, isn't it his RESPONSIBILITY to deal with those parents who care so deeply that they'll hunker down for the duration at that supposedly 'unsafe' building?

“teachers who were "honorably discharged’’ without regard to seniority or tenure”

Now this might suggest to the uninformed reader that there was no criteria at all used to determine which teachers should get the axe. Of course there was, but the Sun Times doesn’t want to print it. Obviously these teachers had no political sponsors, no clout. The cloutless are always the first thrown overboard when a ship starts to sink around here.

.........not to mention the substitute teachers that were 'let go' during this mess. Thousands of lives upended because of this guy.

Just because you went to an Ivy League school, doesn't mean you're smart Hubberman.

This guy is bad news and Daley should take him with when he goes. The Hubberman experiment was a abject FAILURE.

And what job will also be open at that time? Why, the Superintendent of Chicago Police job! What a coincidence, boys and girls!

Since my Parrot died, I have no cage to line with news paper. I do not buy the Scum Times or read used copies of same. Don't waste money on the Tribfoone either. Long after daley is gone the Crook County/Shitcago propaganda machine will still be in place.

SCC is the only legit current affairs rag still afloat.

Five Stars for SCC !!!!!!!!

The TRUTH will eventually be told !!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely right. Joravsky profiled a couple of them in the Reader. Nationally certified teachers (I have teachers in the family, they tell me that certification is not something that is given out lightly). Most of them apparently cut loose because their clouted principal didn't like them and they had no clout of their own to protect them.

Once again the courts step in to further restrict what local officials can do.

Shortshanks has complained about this: there are fewer and fewer things the local authorities can actually control. The courts freeze the rest, and say "you'll figure out how to work around this."

If our institutions - like the CPS - need reform so badly, we're not going to get anywhere by declaring large parts of their operations off limits.

Remember, Huberman is on leave from CPD and holds a civil service rank of Lietenant that was given to him by the City Council prior to leaving for the Mayors chied of staff position. I was there when the council voted on it. He may be back at 35th Street soon.

Luberman will be the next appointed alderman as a parting gift from Shanks. Its apparent he has no desire to have anything to do with the police. Daley has offered the Board position to someone else so they won't take votes from Rahmbama, they needs to find Lubes another post to fck up before then.

We know SCC has proven to be anything but insignificant to the rank and file of the CPD. I think it would be a beautiful thing if for 48hrs, SCC and bloggers posted nothing but the words "Forensic Audit for Chicago" and showed Shortshanks and Co. that SCC is also significant to the citizens of this potentially wonderful city.

Back when they were remodeling the police academy, contractors had roughed in plumbing and electric and framed the academy's new work-out area. He came in and told them it wasn't what he wanted and they tore it all out and did it over. He was chief of staff then, how did he find money to put in a mold infested money-pit building, but can't get some kids a library.

...See how they run!

Well now! Let's take a look at the tally board...

Shortshanks? Not running again/told he better NOT run again.

Much crying from the Shakman exempt people, i.e. "the $100k salary and steal a pension" political appointees. They may have to get off the municipal tit for the first time in a generation.

Now if only something can be done about the same two dozen or so last names of Bridgeport/Canaryville/Mt. Greenwood families who have become legacies/multi-millionaires many times over on the tax payer dime over the last 60 years? if municipal governance adhered to the same integrity and ethics they beat the unclouted over the head with, this Frankenstein's Monster would NOT have come into existence.

Rules in Chicago are for governing the unclouted. The powers that be can't abide being subjected to the nasty surprise of somebody no one sent having a place at their table.

Luberman?

Told by shortshanks to run and save himself. Their campaign to destroy CTU was undone by *gasp* a judge they thought they had in the bag to do their bidding.

It seems some ugly shit is about to be revealed regarding BOE.

J-fled?

A condemned man on his way to the gallows but taking baby steps to delay the inevitable...

Hence all the "don't believe your lyin' eyes, crime is actually down" bullshit being flung at the bathroom wall uhhh, Chicago media to be spewed continuously until the feeble-minded majority believes it with every fiber of their being.

Why are members of the deeply entrenched Chicago kleptocracy fleeing like vermin from a burning Gladys Ave. two-flat... All of a sudden?

Shit is about to be revealed like a big ass coming out of some tight pants!

Taa- muthafuckin' -Daaaaah bitches!

The Trotskyite, liberal yellow pinky, hope to take your remaining change crew led by "The Hollow Dude" KNOW they're going to get served HARD by the hunted and captive tax-payers of this country next month.

It would sicken them to also lose "The Hollow Dude's" home town and power base which also happens to be the seat of power for Daley Inc.

Rahmbo was dispatched to run for mayor in order to oversee the consolidation of Daley Inc. assets.

They do NOT want to lose Chicago.

Kind of reads like the same situation with several former exempts in the CPD who were simply men that were respected but failed to parlay clout that would protect them from the knife of WEISel/Masters (3M).
