Silly Season to Begin
Former White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel, former Sen. Carol Moseley Braun and Rep. Danny K. Davis are all ready to make it official: They're running for mayor.
Emanuel plans to make his announcement Saturday at Coonley Elementary School on the North Side, an anonymous aide said.
Davis will formally announce Sunday at a Loop area hotel, a spokesman said.
Braun says she will officially kick off her bid Nov. 20.
The Rev. James Meeks on Thursday joined the growing list of politicians planning to officially enter the mayoral race this weekend.
The state senator from the South Side will formally declare his candidacy at 6 p.m. Sunday at the University of Illinois at Chicago, 725 W. Roosevelt Road, said Bryan Zises, his campaign spokesman.

Alexi is about to become the "Chicago Outfit" candidate for Mayor. All bookmakers will be required to send a weekly contribution to his campaign.
That is until they find that the malignant midget, Emanuel doesn't meet the residency requirement to run for office in Illinois. The bastard isn't an actual resident of Illinois. He votes here, but he has been living in DC and working for the President is not the same as being in the military. The case will go to the appelate court and he should lose the case.
Doesn't anyone have the balls..in the media that is...to point out the glaring legal issue here?
1 year of actual Residency is Required to be eligible to run for any Political Office in this City.

Like it or not, unless NOBAMA buys him off, get ready to meet your new boss, Mayor "Loans" Giannoulias, as he is known by Quarters Boyle and the boys at Streets & Sanitation!
He will be a MUCH younger version of the pos we have had for the last 21 years. "BUSINESS AS USUAL" will be his campaign slogan.

Emmanuel won't be knocked out because of residency. Remember this is Chicago and Illinois, and he is Obama's and Daley's guy. The "right" judge or judges will get this, and he will be allowed to run.

Don't be so quick to throw that star on J-Feds desk. Don't know where you have been lately, but very few if any suburbs around here are hiring, and those that are, are taking only one or two clouted favorite sons. Many are laying off coppers, not filling vacancys or considering disbanding.

Obama was pushed into helping Alexi. Go back and do the homework; he was loathe to come here and help him out. We can all speculate on what finally convinced him (probably just did it to try and preserve his old senate seat for the dems).
But, when Alexi flew those few trial balloons about running for mayor, I just betcha he got a phone call from either Rahm or somebody in a big white house in D.C., saying, "Son, you got one favor. One. You're on your own now."
Look for one of the Ghetto candidates to be the victim of racism, most likely from the CPD in the very near future. Kind of like the staged BS Meeks did before. What is the basis for every ghetto politician getting elected? They play the racist angle to keep the entitlement coming and coming and coming.
