SHAME ON YOU JODY. Neither jody or any other EXEMPT rank representative was at teh Annual CPD GSF dinner Wednesday. Thankfully we have stand up guys Like Father Brandt and Rabbi moshe Wolfe. Both are true Gentleman and know they both have our deepest respect and grattitude.
Five dead in the Line of Duty and a sixth murdered off-duty and the supernintendo can't make a Gold Star Family dinner? The Gold Star organization does invite the supernintendo, right?

At this point, the saying "Dont go away mad, just go away" is right on point.
Why would anyone expect J-Fled to be there? He is a politician and never a police officer. Deep down he could care less. Any real boss would be there, but not J-fled. I did see him on the news today looking his unprofessional self on TV, wearing a grey Chicago Bears hoodie while giving an interview. How embarrassing!
Not to sound surprised here, but WHO REALLY CARES ABOUT WHERE J-FLED WAS, OR WASN'T? He's never backed the troops, why would anyone expect any more of him at this late stage of his tenure?

This goof is soooo totally clueless as to what is truly important to police officers, it is almost beyond belief.
If there is ONE place where the Superintendent of police should be showing concern and support, especially with 5 line of duty deaths this year, it's with the Gold Star Families and our police officers and not with those other ass clowns.
To be fair, though, who wouldn't take the time to badmouth him even if he WAS at the GSF dinner. This guy is just toxic in this department and will never get the benefit of the doubt from the rank and file. All the more reason to launch him the very second his contract expires.
Actually, I think firing him on Christmas Day would be poetic justice!

Someone asked me if I disliked Jody Weis and I of course I dislike him vey much. They asked when I started disliking him and I told them from the moment he signed the contract. He looked at me as if I was the most prejudicial person on earth and asked why. My answer, because he is greedy. He knew he had Daley in a tight position and extorted two salaries from the city in exchange for doing one job poorly. Right off the bat that told me alot about the man, a $60,000 increase a year and the prestige of being the leader of the Chicago Police Department wasn't enough of a motivation. He never would have had much of a career outside of the FBI if it wasn't for this and I think he knew he was going to do so poorly that he wouldn't be rehired elsewhere afterwards and had to hoard as much gold as possible during this tenure.
It is a shame that the Gold Star Families organization has become so disorganized with in-fighting of the leadership.
The Christmas party was hosted by the CPD Chaplains instead of G.S.F. this year.
Many thanks to the CPD Chaplains for filling in during the time that GSF is undergoing such problems.
But, come on, at least one commander could have made an effort to be there for the families sake.
He would never show up there, its quite obvious he doesnt give a damn about the officers or their families. Im willing to bet the families wouldnt have wanted him there anyway, but he should show support for his troops.... but we all know that will never happen.

But he was on tv yesterday in his high school sweatshirt talking about cpd applicants,all lies as usual! Maybe when he was meeting with the revs he was getting their picks for police officers! Looking at the pool of candidates wow,and them talking without connecting words the future looks even more grim!

The "man" (term used loosely) has no respect for the rank and file and refuses to lower himself to our level by attending something as insignificant as a dinner to show respect for the families of officers who were murdered while protecting the citizens of this city. You might as well ask him to visit Cozzi and thank him for his service.

That's classy J-Fled. Meet with the leaders of those who murder Chicago Police officers instead of the grieving families of the police officers who were murdered under your watch. You have empowered the criminals and tied the hands of the department to the point where many of these animals won't think twice before murdering a police officer. It will take decades of hard work and the loss of many more police officers to undo the damage that you have done. Good riddance in March and I hope you rot in hell.

I have been going to the Drake GSF dinner for well over twenty years and several times the sup. wasn't able to make it for a variety of reasons. They always had an exempt take his place. Not this time.
It's definately a sign of the times. Leaders have lost what is truely important. They let the scum dictate and form policy.
On a positive note Officer Stugala's killer " Mad Dog" was denied parole. Not only was he denied parole, but the PRB voted to hear his case again in three years instead of the usual year he was granted. This POS was one voted from being released in the past.
The Chicago Police Memorial Organization began sending buses down to Springfield for the hearings several years ago and it has paided off. Say what you will of ex Sup. Phil Cline, but without him this would not have happen. He is the only boss that has taken an active roll on the issue of parole hearings.
And lastly a question to any exempt, Why do YOU not show up to this hearings?? The only bosses I have ever seen are those that had a personal interest in the incident. Like knowing or being on the scene of that fallen officer. It's pretty disgusting to see no leaders making an appearance.

I'd be staring and my daughter is always saying to me "Mom stop doing this or that." because apparently without knowing I have looks of horror on my face when gazing upon what I consider to be an imperfection in a person I may or not know. Sorry.
