Bears Favored

  • The Bears are in the playoffs for the first time in four seasons, but their veteran roster nevertheless provides a wealth of playoff experience. A total of 27 Bears players have appeared in 114 playoff games over their careers. That number includes 17 starters when you count punter Brad Maynard and place-kicker Robbie Gould. Quarterback Jay Cutler is the notable exception. As we noted this week, Cutler hasn't played in a postseason game since his senior year of high school. Regardless, this is a team that should handle the emotional rigors of a playoff atmosphere.
But we will confess surprise at the number of our readers predicting a complete failure of the Bears this playoff season. We'd think there were more bandwagon jumpers this time around.

This years Bears are the Leon Spinks of football teams. We can count on them against bums but whenever they play the real deal, they fold faster than 7/2 offsuit against a preflop all in.

The way Green Bay beat-up on
Atlanta last night, 45 to 14,
the Bears better bring their
best game and eat their Wheaties
because they are going to need
them if they expect to come out
the winners.

I find it to be a kick in the ass that the Chicago Bears are the NFC North Division Champions and the to-be Super Bowl World Champion Green Bay Packers are in the very same division! It gives 'bear down' a whole new meaning! "We need a ho-lotta bambulances at 425 E. McFetridge Drive! The Bears done fell out!"

Any information about a off duty p.o. that foiled a home invasion of a chicago fightermens home in Garfield Ridge. My neighbor said the off duty was confronted by a gangbanger with a gun who was breaking into a corner house as the off duty was driving past. Thanks to the unknown officer for protecting the neighborhood.

I've got a feeling that Februarty 6th will be a very good night for Chicagoans.

A former SOSer spotted these mutts, gave chase to 3 Latin Kings, responding units caught them. A gun was pointed at this OFF Duty PO and the mutts then ran. Gun was tossed and still not recovered. Good Job Officer O

You must not know the guy. He spent his whole career patrolling the dangerous streets of museum campus and has never done anything except write off duty coppers parking tickets for letting the meters expire. Guy didnt even carry cuffs and never locked up a person in his career. So he didnt make any of that time at court or doing any police work.

OT in certain jobs is not earned by going to court. You are pretty stupid if you believe these guys are racking up thousands of hours of overtime by making arrests. I have seen it where they turn in slips claiming to have worked 16 hr days, seven days a week for months. The slips get approved. It is the chicago way.
