And he's letting everyone know:
- What's being spoken of in hushed whispers among the Gold Stars is that a meeting was called Thursday evening by J-Fled & EB with all exempts. After they all arrived HQ, They were all told that "Weis still runs things, he's still the Supt., and anyone who doesn't like it can pack a bag and be dismissed from the Exempt ranks.'
Apparently, it's come to a head that NONE of the exempts will support Supt. 'So-Stupid,' as evidenced by the fact that for the past 4 months, possibly longer, Weis has been forced to hold all his major BS press conferences ALONE. None of the exempts want to be photographed or videotaped standing too close to the guy; it's pretty well established that whoever gets the nod for Supt. after the Mayoral election, the vast majority of the 'high command' will just about all be history. They're all pretty much about as useful as tits on the proverbial bull.
Apparently, Peterson and Weis have now had a falling out, evidenced by 3M snatching all of the 'glamour' units away from 'ol bullet head and keeping them for himself, under the "Supts. Office" umbrella. The circus continues, with the cast of clowns constantly being updated! My, but what a 'Peyton Place' PD we have become! HAHAHAHA!
We had noticed that the last few months of press conferences all seemed to be held with only J-Fled present or with Peterson hanging out in the background. Now, even that fig leaf of support from his own command staff may have been stripped away. The exempts smell change in the air and no one wants to be closely associated with J-Fled, Downtown Brown or Masters Masters Masters.

The 'bunker mentality' now takes over. He thinks he would have succeeded if only he hadn't been betrayed by his Exempts. The organization is not worth saving and he orders a 'scorched earth' policy to destroy what's left. His most trusted and loyal followers leave him alone at the end and sue for peace with the opposition; the biggest and final betrayal. Meanwhile. the few left in the bunker with him discuss how their careers will end. From time to time a new message will come in that is such good news it could mean that he'll survive, only to see minutes later that the situation has deteriorated even worse than he thought. Events are now overtaking him. To keep the illusion going he rewards those left with him with meaningless promotions, and issues orders to the remnants of a command that will never be carried out. The end is upon him. .... SOUND FAMILIAR?

Yes, it's true. They packed off Dom Rizzi and shipped him out to the 020th Dist. (he's a south sider), but he miraculously made the bid to the 009th Dist. Personally, I've have taken the pit stop
in 020. Not that 009 is swamped with crime, but
Dom would have a whole lot less wear & tear working in an Area 3 District, for sure!
Jackson, as usual, did nothing about it, but most likely shook like a leaf, as is his usual response to these matters.

I'm not sure when the dumping occurred, but I know why it did happen. The LT. made the mistake of asking why the policy group and crystal ball people were exempt from going out to work operation protect youth and was retaliated against for questioning 3M and company.
What a bunch of assholes these people are.

All of these exempts are shiting bricks. They need four full years as an exempts to get the gold braid pension. They also have to make up all of the unpaid furlo days too. Down in Springfield the only way the COLA will be continued will be to find away to fund it. My partner is our unit rep and at the Oct. meeting they said they are asking for the Gold Braid pension to be done away with. Everyone would retire at the civil service rate. Shortshanks opposed it but it will pass this spring. Any Capt who takes exempts has to be nuts in the future to work for nothing. The merit Lt.’s will still jump at it thou.

Your post is correct. But J-Fled had a contract, so he could have told Daley no. If Daley dumped him, he would still have been paid. That is why J-Fled is such a joke. He could have done great things, but instead he just followed status quo and did what ever the little Ego maniac IP told him to do. I don't recall any state police but I do remember her losing her police hat & shield. She claimed her fellow tact team members stole it and got a CR (no CL then) on all of them and had female locker room dusted for prints etc.

To the poster who thinks I'm an idiot for the Peterson squashing the dics class rumor. Peterson is the one who brought J-Fled to this job. If he has that much whack and shows that much poor judgement, why wouldn't he be capable of showing poor judgement again in this case? What has become of Reichsmarchall Georgas? Low profile of late. Rumor is that the CFD will son be assuming the duties of his Kriegsmarine and Luftwaffe. However, having read his Rotary club bio, he is my hero still.

You say ten years ago the pension fund was solvant? Apparently you have not read the latest Pension Advisor. Shields claims evidence indicates that the fund has been underfunded by the city for 20 years or more. The 2:1 ration has not been working for that long and now they claim that it will take almost 6:1 to bring the fund back. Well, I do not think that is going to happen. The taxpayers will not stand for it. They have no sympathy now. What will happen is massive changes in the way pensions are paid and what is paid. I don't care who the next mayor is. Things are controlled by Springfield. And, I do not think that they are going to wait long to do this.

Rumor is that the detective class of about 35-40 that was supposed to be starting last month was budgeted for and ready to go but Peterson squashed it because he was upset with the d-unit. Take it for what its worth.
I call big time B.S. on this one.
Yes, Leroy Martin was out there MFing everybody that gave the police any shit.
