Underdogs Again
The Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers have met 181 times in the NFL's longest standing rivalry dating back to 1921.
Only once have they played with this much at stake.
Chicago hosts Green Bay in the NFC championship game Sunday in the teams' first playoff meeting since Dec. 14, 1941.
The Bears' 33-14 victory over the Packers at that time put them in the NFL title game, and a win Sunday will accomplish a similar feat. While there's sure to be mention of the rivalry between franchises with a combined 48 Hall of Fame players, the history between Chicago and Green Bay takes a back seat to a Super Bowl berth being on the line.
The Bears thrived as the underdogs this season and the current line has the Pack favored by 4. We expect a very intense game. Good luck Bears.

Regarding 'no cable':
This only going to hurt the supervisors who sit in the office and watch TV all night.

Maybe you're unaware the game starts at 2 P.m., not 2 A.m.
the bears will have to pressure rogers--- if they give him time to set up we are dead--- GO BEARS....
winning ugly. Not a reference to J-Fled who just ugly and not a winner. Daley, ditto.
Congratulations, SCC!
I project that SCC will have surpassed THIRTEEN MILLION (13,000,000) total visits by late this evening. Too bad that your blog site is "insignificant".
SCC,,,, You do know their offense was ranked 30 in the NFL... Tne bears are not good. They are only here because everyone else sucks.

Using your logic, why even play the games?
If everyone else sucks, that makes the Bears the best team.
Go Bears!
Well, as usual, the NFL and the local media have over-hyped this game beyond reason.
Yoda: Not believe? That is why you fail.
The time for talking is past.
Now it's time to try to win.
But, WAIT!
Some sage advice, still: "No! Try not. Do, or do not... There is no try." ~ YODA from Star Wars
Use the "FORCE", Lovie!
LET'S GET IT ON ! ! !
I want to see the Bears go out and DESTROY the Packers like the '85 Bears vanquished EVERYONE!
But this is not the '85 Bears.
This Bears team fights tooth and nail and while their outstanding defense holds opponents at bay, the offense pokes and prods and looks for that one little crack or chink in the armor that will allow them to score.
Make no mistake. This is not a great Bears team. But if I've learned one thing this year, it's that they have figured out a way to win most of their games.
If they manage to get past this REALLY GOOD Packers team, their rap going into the Super Bowl will be that they were not as good as a number of this years NFL teams, and are 'unworthy' of playing in the championship game.
Despite the fact that they beat the Jets earlier this season, the East coast biased media will make them the underdogs in the big game but THEY WILL beat the Jets to become the SBXLV Champions.
You're Welcome!

Just Do It !
SWOOOOOSH!
What's on the brunch menu today, SCC?
Besides a Bear victory, I mean.
.
Da BEARSsssss

Bears win? Naw, go Green bay!
I'm buying a bears hat this morning and I still have my 1985 jacket, Bear Down.
my crystal ball tells me:
Packers 35 Da Bears 10
Jimmy Da Greek
Shittiest Field and Stadium in the NFL! Ha!
Talk of the airwaves! Ha!
What did Daley Inc. make on the renovation? 100 Million? Ha!
Go Pack!
Fuck the Bears, Daleys, and Pat Ryan!
Bears will be destroyed in a few hours been around football 7o plus years,so bet the house on GB today
Look at the post season stats packer fan..these are the ones that matter now...I think you'll be surprised.
The Bears are the most overrated ream ever to teach the nfc championship. The packers will take date of business today.
Bears 27
Packers 16
I've been a Packets fan since I was a kid, my friends say I still act like a kid, but either way, a win by Da' Bears would bring back some pride to Chicago that we've lost thru corruption, travestys of justice, ( Cozzi/Burge) & fucking up one the best Police Departments in the U.S. of A.
Troops in the trenches STILL some of the best s.o.b.'s you'd ever want to meet but not fuck with 35th ST., tear it down & put back the garbage dump.
Enough politics, let's go & show that Chicago can still kick ass.
Packers 30, Bears 7 I can't understand why the Bears have not played well in the cold in the past 15 years
Packers win 21-9!
The Bears are what we thought they were.....pathetic. At best, they are a 7-9 team. They are over matched and will be shown the door today. Hopefully this ends the "Lovie/Angelo" experiment.
Dear Mr. Insignificant, you do not suck, the Bears do not suck, and little heat packs that warm your hands don't suck either. Bears naysayers suck, gloves with holes sucks and J-Fled sucks like a newly routed bathtub drain.
much harder beating a winning team than it is to beat up on 7 and 9 teams all season. this team is so overrated its sick! good thing is that due to their "successful" season of beating up losers all season, they wont make many changes for next year. More of the same in 2011...cant wait!
Go Pack!!
WOW!
Quite simply, the better team won.
What more can be said?
How would you have liked to pay thousands of dollars for Bears tickets to watch Collins at QB for Bears.
The Bears are who I was afraid they were.
Anytime the Bears secondary wants to start defending the pass would be nice.
Go AFC in super bowl.
Wow is Cutler a huge pussy. I could have my lower half of my body cut off and not want to sit out the game.
Man up you jagoff. Biggest game of your career and you just want to hide on the side line.
The Predictive Analysis Unit sadly predicts that the Green Bay Packers will beat da Bears by seven points.
Under dogs???? Na, they are just DOGS!!!
The biggest choke in Bear history. I heard JFed gave the pre-game speech.
Thank you bears! No days off canceled. No looting, no burning buildings.
Now if we could just get everyone to stop talking about the Bears at work the world would be a better place.
Thank God it is OVER!
Oh well. Maybe next year. Drat!
hahahalololololololololololhahahahahahahhahahahahhhahahhahahahh bears lost wow
I'm glad the politicians didn't get a chance to use a Bears victory to get free publicity. Can you imagine obama, rahm, quinn and shortshanks hamming it up?
It would have made a lot of people vomit in their mouths a little bit. The Bears shouldn't win until we get a mayor who isn't a complete piece of shit.
Winners want the ball.
Cutler left the field with no discernible injury, but later it was announced that he hurt his knee.
With what was at stake in this game, a winner would have played until he dropped.
Cutler has shown he is a loser..in football and in life.
As much as Rex Grossman sucked, he at least tried. Cutler gave up, you could see it in his attitude.
When Caleb Haney came in the spark was re-lit and the Bears came close to pulling the game out.
Retire Cutler, you suck.
Cutler has never lived up to the hype and he sure as hell was not worth the First Round pick given up for him.
Not impressed by "The Freezer" clowning, taunting, holding the ball out with one hand during his very first career interception -- in this of all games.
"Butterfingers" -- oops -- that could have lost Green Bay the game.
Smartass.
Bears should have skipped over Collins and put Hanie in right there -- I think he could have won it for them. He sure was trying.
There's always next year...

OT, Does it ever end?
DETROIT (AP) — A gunman opened fire inside a Detroit police precinct on Sunday, wounding four officers including a commander before he was shot and killed by police, authorities said.
The gunman walked in through the precinct's revolving door around 4:20 p.m. with a pistol grip shotgun and opened fire, Sgt. Todd Eby, who was sitting at his desk in the precinct at the time of the shooting, told the Detroit Free Press. He said officers shot back at the gunman, killing him
Cutler is a PUnk
Cutler, you punk ass! I am going to take my Cutler jersey and use it to wash the brake dust off of the tires of my car. You quit on the team. I could see it in your eyes WELL BEFORE halftime. You suck!
Cutler is the J-Fled of the NFL!
It all over now....now onto cpd business !
What the hell kind of game was this today? Pussy Cutler injures his knee yet he was able to stand on it and even bicycle? He resembled a bloated Elvis. Did he clubbing the night before so he could be on TMZ?
The 3rd String QB had more passion and attempted to move the team up/down the field.
As I've said all year, cutler is the biggest pussy in the NFL. "He doesn't know when the injury happened." Are you shitting me? The biggest game of his career and he doesn't have the balls to hang in there and finish it, but he STANDS on the sidelines with a supposed knee injury, with that stupid look on his face that someone (a fellow player, hopefully) should slap off of him? He's a loser. Dump him. He has no business whatsoever in the NFL.
The Bears deserved to lose after that horribly disrespectful "interactive" national anthem. What a disgrace! During the singing of the anthem, people should stand silently, with their hands over their hearts, not yelling like a bunch of drunks. Oh, wait...I get it now.
If Cutler's knee was hurt, why wasn't he icing it on the sideline?
Even if you're hurt, do your best on one leg. You're only making millions a year!
The Bears are the most overrated ream ever to teach the nfc championship. The packers will take date of business today.
Please DON'T Drink and Type. It's bad for you and it's definitely bad for our eyes.... lol
I think Quitter Cutler didn't see the Dodger Kirk Gibson's home run against the Oakland A's.. Quitter Cutler couldn't wait to get the season to be over so he can score a "touch down" on his Hollywood girlfriend, Kristin Cavallari..
Cutler certainly does not have the heart of Ben Rothlesberger. Ben took a heavy hit to his leg in the Jet game---dragged his leg back to the huddle and never missed a play the rest of the way. Cutler hardly displayed any limp at all--but let's see what the MRI shows today.

Your case reports must be hilarious.
Bears should have skipped over Collins and put Hanie in right there -- I think he could have won it for them. He sure was trying.
There's always next year...
I agree. Putting in Father Time was a waste of time...the coaches should have gone straight to Hanie...he a good QB and he would've pulled it out.

Inventory the crack cocaine, Don't smoke it
The Bears were outcoached. Lovie is not good at making decisions. Remember the superbowl? Goodbye Lovie and Angelo? Too good to be true. Besides, I wish they would sell the fanchise so that someone who actually wants to build a winning team will do so. Just dreamin'-won't happen.
MRI results are in!!! J-Quitler is a snibbling coward. Now we have J-Fled & J-Quitler, way to go Chicago!
Neither the Packers or Bears played well. Lovie's miscues and Cutler's misfortunes make you forget that Rogers was shaken and threw a shitload of incomplete passes. The Packers were 3 to 4 point favorites and a close game was expected. They scored on an interception. The game could have gone either way. Just know if the Packers play like that in the Super Bowl the Steelers will clean their clocks.
