Spring is Still Here

  • The warmer weather has been a great relief to winter-weary Chicagoans, but it has also carried the byproduct of increased violence on the city’s streets.

Between 4 p.m. Wednesday and 1 a.m. Thursday, at least nine people were shot all around the city.

Not quite up to a summer weekend totals, but not bad for March.

And we wouldn't be surprised if this actually happened down at the ivory tower (from the comment section):
  • I was told at a recent meeting of the exempts a certain exempt member with 5 yrs on the job, mmmm i wonder who that might be, can anyone predict...ooops i mean guess...anyways he stood up and said "I can tell you based on the numbers, it appears that there is more violence and more activity in the summer months than there is in th winter months" wow this dumb fuck figured that all out on his own and with the help of dell.....this is the kind of dumbshits we have running this department....
Wow. Really, just wow.

Seems that whenever there is a gun story in Chicago Breaking News, there is no way to comment on the stories.

I call BS! There is no way someone is that stupid to say something like that. That's like saying "when it rains the ground gets wet." This guy needs to be demoted and put pack into patrol with the rest of us.

OT...Anyone know what happened to all the suck hole policy group goofs that sold their souls for J-Fled and Masters betting they would be in power forever? Doesn't look so good now. I bet many of the exempts will remember.

That'll be one hundred thousand dollars, please.

If this guy/5 yr. wonder is such a genius then why doesn't the city use him to come up with an algorithm for the city to invest their money? Ask anyone that you know SCC that works or worked at the Board of Trade and they will tell you that almost all of the traders have been replaced by computers. Those computers have algorithms (or programs for simpler terms)that tell a company when to buy or sell. So if this douchebag ..err, genius is so smart why doesn't the city use him to help solve the financial woes instead of trying to "predict" something that CANNOT be predicted?....because he is a phony who is connected and that would reveal he has zero talent in a second!

There should be a new ribbon or button that commemorates that "I Survived The J-FLED Era".

No prediction here, but a fact. J-Fed's girl, KB was dumped and sent back to 023. The Tac Lt went right into the Commander's office and asked that she be put on the tac team. The same Tac Lt who preaches at his roll calls about having to earn your spot, blah, blah, blah. 3rd watch actually liked when he filled in now realize it was just the same bs.

Since the Department is still on the decline (manpower, for the sake of this discussion) this summer's violence will continue to rise.
Look for the J-Fled fans to use the stats (convoluted by him) to indicate that now that he's gone, all is going to hell.
The truth be told, it was 'hell' while he was here.
I predict that if Ramsey is picked, many members will kick it up a bit out of respect to the new and disdain for the former.
Either way, continue to back up one another and honor our fallen.
WE are all WE have.

wow, what a dope....more violence in the summer than in the winter....
Commissioner Sir Charles Braithwaite (played by J-Fed): You must trust no one. The viper in our bosom could be anyone.
Inspector Jacques Clouseau (played by Crystal Ball Goldbrick): I suspect everyone!
J-Fed: You will report only to me!
Goldbrick: And what makes you think I trust you?

*************

Don't sell him short!! I had the (UGH!!)unfortunate experience of seeing him trying to defend his crime statistics at a meeting shortly after he got the gold star. He was like a deer in the headlights. Peterson stood up and dissed him big time in front of everyone there (50 or so people), and he just shrugged his shoulders, almost as if he didn't even recognize that he just got put down.

This just in...there seems to be a direct correlation with the sale of ice cream and violent crimes. Not sure what that connection is but we will research this phenomenon tirelessly until we can explain, thru computer modulation, just how this is happening.

Meanwhile...the sale of ice cream seems to increase during warmer months. WTF?!

What is the homicide YTD total right now for your city? I read that for 2010, Chicago had 435 homicides. Damn, that's a lot! What is the highest ever YTD total homicides ever in Chicago?

There's a "Ghoul Pool" for Philly murders. As of today, the homicide total is 75*. I chose 304, and the closing date for our picks is 8/31/11. Winner gets bragging rights on the forum for the year. :p

* Included in the above 2011 homicide victim statistics are the eight deaths resulting from the grand jury investigation, released on Wednesday, January 19, 2011, charging Dr. Kermit Gosnell with eight counts of murder. Although the homicides occurred in previous years, per the rules and regulations of the FBI's Uniform Crime Reports (UCR) guidelines, the victims are included in the homicide statistics for the year in which the homicides become known to the police

Pat Lynch, the president of the NYPD PBA is aware of the "pedigree" of J-Fled, the LYING COWARD. In the event that the lesser asshole Raymond "Popeye" Kelly, the current commish of the NYPD is offered the job of the Director, FBI, J-FLED will be spinning his wheels if he applies for the NYPD.

If the private sector ignores this jagoff and he refuses to accept a gig at McDonald's flipping burgers, he'd be well advised to retire with his ill-gotten monies.

Lets not forget this boob Goldbrick's business partner in ForceStrategy.
Just as clueless.

The principal members of ForceStrategy have successfully implemented these solutions in one of the largest public safety agencies in the country. In many cases, they designed leading systems from scratch.

What leading systems?
