Media Starts to Notice
The Flash Mob Offenders may be back around Loyola University Chicago’s Water Tower Campus.
According to Campus Safety, about 70 teenagers stormed the McDonald’s at Chicago and State this weekend.
Here are more details from an email sent out by Campus Safety:
Loyola Community,
This past weekend, a serious incident took place at the McDonald’s located on the corner of Chicago and State. Due to the establishment’s proximity to the Water Tower Campus, we want to be sure you are aware of the situation.
On Sunday, a group of about 70 youths stormed the restaurant and created a disturbance. Approximately 10 Chicago Police Department (CPD) units responded and ultimately closed the restaurant for nearly three hours until peace was restored. Both CPD and Campus Safety believe this activity is related to the same group of individuals who have attempted to create havoc in the area before. In February, we alerted you to a similar incident in which these “Flash Mob Offenders” were allegedly committing thefts within local retail stores around the Water Tower Campus community. The offenders exit the Chicago Red Line stop, they go to various shops or restaurants, usually clothing stores, and then storm the stores, taking as many items as they can carry. The incidents seem to occur most often on weekends, between 5 p.m. and 11 p.m.

My nephew goes to Loyola University. There is a large group of parents and individuals who reside in the area working with a newscaster about a documentary. The crux of the documentary will be the failure of the politicians and police to keep the citizens safe in a once crime-free area. The thugs are running wild in that area and there are no consequences for their behavior. If this problem is not corrected, there will be a lot of vacant rentals and Loyola students looking for a new university.
You know what is even worse? Try calling the 18th or the 1st district and just ask them if these type of incidents occurred in their districts? They will deny it!

CPD's comment was it's really no big deal, there were no arrests. WTF!! This pack of animals caused the McDonalds to close for 3 hours.
It seems nobody from the CPD or city officials want to acknowledge the 800 pound gorilla in the room: packs of African American thugs whose only goal is theft, mayhem and destruction.

As a citizen of Chicago I want to know, why is nothing being done about this problem? My brother told me he saw about 50 young black kids run into a clothing store and steal and walk out into their cars. Cars that were waiting for them. This happened in broad daylight as people were walking, dining, etc...
I feel for you cops though. Those that are on the streets, on patrol, driving around, etc... The state has taken away your authority and only decent citizens like me comply with your authority. While packs of thugs like these kids, gangsters, career criminals don't and just laugh away. Case in point, I heard that if someone takes off from you on a car, then it is almost certain that your captain or other boss will order you to stop chasing the bad guy and his car.
Got on the EB 66 bus at Bishop & Chicago early last evening and the driver says to me, "It's not even that warm yet and it's started." I said, "How do you mean?" He says, "There's a guy near the last stop laying on the street bleeding from a gunshot."

Funny that Loyola has to warn its students for safety reasons DOWNTOWN rather than in the jungles of 024 where its main campus is!

A person was recently stabbed on Chicago Ave. The shootings and murders are next. Warn your friends and family to stay away from north Michigan Ave. It's ghetto now and extremely dangerous. Talk all your shit about what you would do to these assholes if you worked in 018, but those of us who have worked here a while know the consequences of what you're suggesting=ending up in fucking federal court on a civil rights lawsuit. Almost every square inch of our district is on camera and every block has a bleeding heart liberal dying to see us doing the shit you think you could get away with here. This ain't the west side. Until the exempts and corp counsel comes up with a clear, legal way to handle these little bastards, I ain't doing shit besides locking them up on signed complaints and dispersals.
What I think you fail to realize is that, before they actually commit the crime, they are on paper, just minority juveniles "enjoying" a city area just like everyone else. We might all know and understand that in 20-30 minutes they are about to "McWild" or mass shoplift, or do an iphone robbery, but until they actually do it, our actions are under a fucking microscope. Believe me, if we could just grab these mutts preemptively and load up a wagon with them for being down there, I'd load up three of them per night with a big grin on my face.
If the rest of you hard chargers would like to come to 018 and lock up 20-50 juveniles a night for being black teenagers on the public way, be my guest. I somehow have my doubts the bosses or the state's attorneys will have your back.
I am a student and do not feel safe at all at the water tower campus.
Loyola rarely has any of their police officers at the downtown campus. They have armed police officers at the north campus.
What is an unarmed security guard going to do if a student is getting beaten by a mob of these kids?
I have only seen at least one armed Loyola police officer working during the afternoon shift, but never one on the midnight shift.
What do expect from Loyola, they sent one of their candidates to the police academy and we heard that he was crying on his first day at the academy.
I hope to be graduating this spring, because Loyola has no control of the area.

we were ordered to "keep it quiet"!
Moved out of Chicago three years ago. Took my wife, a native New Yorker, (I know feel sorry for me, she's a Yankee fan, but my point is she is not a pussy when it comes to street encounters) anyways we took our two kids (10 years old and 6 years old) down, took a walk along Mich Ave to Millenium back up to the Hancock. Had to push our way through two bullshit crowds. It used to be a nice place to take a walk, now, I saw it with my own eyes and I won't bother to come back there for a long time. My 10 year old who really is an honor student and football player can deal with these shitheads later in life if he wants, I can't stand to see him get shouldered and swore at with anti-white racial terms. Not worth the trouble to come back. Five/ten years ago you couldn't hardly walk down Michigan Ave because of the steady stream of people. Anybody notice there is hardly any foot traffic compared to what used to be there ?

Hey SCC thanks for posting about this. Its a big and on going problem for this downtown area, and its all around Water Tower. You would think that the powers that be would start doing something about this considering that tourist dollars will be at stake when someone finally gets shot or beat to death on the "Magnificent Mile."

Calling all 18th district officers! Be prepared for summer school break. There will be thousands of thugs on Michigan Ave, North Ave and Oak St Beaches, which will spill over to Rush St. The thugs will grab purses and IPhones off of the dinner tables outside and have gang fights over the "New Territory". I work security at one of the shops on Michigan Ave. and let me tell you that these young black kids truly are animals out here. I take that back, animals only attack when they feel threatened, these kids are like a plague that has to destroy everything on Michigan ave. They come in hordes and disturb customers, harass store employees, and act like complete shit-heads.
We have a good relationship with the officers working the Ave. in the 18th district and I will tell all you police bashers that no one tries to stop these kids more then you guys at CPD. These officers are on foot almost their entire shift going from store to store making sure everything is o.k and we really do appreciate the help in grabbing these damn kids when they shoplift.
CPD and the Greater North Michigan Ave. Association need to work together to figure out a way to keep this plague from turning Michigan Ave. into the new west side.

so true. the revs and all the other bleeding hearts don't want to say that there are 30-40 black teenage thugs doing this. We all know who it is, but know one will outwardly say (the media) it. I would like to read a police report and see the description cited by the witnesses.

Now Loyola is finally taking notice, even though they didn't feel the need to send out alerts about the shootings in 24. And it took them days after the beating of a man for his phone, just feet away from the downtown campus, before they sent out an email warning students to be more alert.

018 Cop you are 100% correct. I work in 015 and most of my fellow coworkers talk too much shit. They talk about "I would lock them up". For what? For acting like assholes? For acting rude?
If they commit a crime, then yes, they are fair game. And even if that happens, we are outnumbered and so it wouldn't be wise to just jump in to a crowd to affect an arrest.
This is a lose/lose situation. These kids were doing this type of stuff last year and now summer hasn't even started and they are doing it this year.
I hope and pray no one dies (ac actual innocent person) in this area.

My team was detailed to Michigan Ave two of the past 4 weekends. We were confronted 3 times by your Loyola Liberals complaining about the way we were treating those poor

The dept should do what they did with North Ave. Beach last year. Flood the area with coppers working their rdo and make a heavy police presence known. It goes along with EBs new strategy on dealing with gatherings. Anytime a gathering is observed the officer is supposed to notify the watch commander and make sure the gathering is disbanded. Calling it the Ave is a common term known to many citizens. My 70 year old mother calls it the Ave and she is not nor ever was the police. And funny thing I am the police and don't refer to it as the Ave (probably because I wouldn't set foot near there or anywhere downtown or up North) Anyway thanks Mayor Jagoff for fucking up this city!!!

Talk all your shit about what you would do to these assholes if you worked in 018, but those of us who have worked here a while know the consequences of what you're suggesting=ending up in fucking federal court on a civil rights lawsuit. Almost every square inch of our district is on camera and every block has a bleeding heart liberal dying to see us doing the shit you think you could get away with here. This ain't the west side. Until the exempts and corp counsel comes up with a clear, legal way to handle these little bastards, I ain't doing shit besides locking them up on signed complaints and dispersals.
What I think you fail to realize is that, before they actually commit the crime, they are on paper, just minority juveniles "enjoying" a city area just like everyone else. We might all know and understand that in 20-30 minutes they are about to "McWild" or mass shoplift, or do an iphone robbery, but until they actually do it, our actions are under a fucking microscope. Believe me, if we could just grab these mutts preemptively and load up a wagon with them for being down there, I'd load up three of them per night with a big grin on my face.
If the rest of you hard chargers would like to come to 018 and lock up 20-50 juveniles a night for being black teenagers on the public way, be my guest. I somehow have my doubts the bosses or the state's attorneys will have your back.

Our parish priest was knocked down at LaSalle st. station 3 weeks ago, the flower he was taking to his Mom were grabbed. A neighbor's el train was robbed at 6PM, all the women's jewelry was taken at gunpoint last week near Jefferson Pk. Both times suspects were black. Neither time made the news.

My nephew goes to Loyola University. There is a large group of parents and individuals who reside in the area working with a newscaster about a documentary. The crux of the documentary will be the failure of the politicians and police to keep the citizens safe in a once crime-free area. The thugs are running wild in that area and there are no consequences for their behavior. If this problem is not corrected, there will be a lot of vacant rentals and Loyola students looking for a new university.

Make sure you get it right! We the police love to just sit around with our hands tired behind our backs while these idiots run wild in the streets. The problem is the same people working with this so called newscaster are the reason why these idiots can get away with it. If only you soft as puppy shit liberals would shut up back up and let the cpd do it's job we would take care of it. I work at Loyola. I can tell you that in the past week since this incident occurred, our Campus Safety officers have beefed up their patrols at the Water Tower Campus, and have also been spotted stationed at other areas AROUND campus, such as Rush St. and Chicago Ave. The Campus Safety officers are patrolling the Water Tower neighborhood because the Chicago police have failed to do anything about it. The police department is down thousands of officers and the brass fail to distribute resources where they are needed. And, for reasons I will never understand, the media refuses to cover this stuff. What is it going to take? Something horrible is going to happen downtown some day very soon, and the Chicago cronies won't be able to ignore it anymore. It shouldn't have to come to that.

As I get up in age and the dangers continue to grow, I am finally coming to grips with the fact that I wouldn't stand a chance if a pack of Red Line savages decided to feast on me. What self-defense weapons can I carry on my person legally in the city of Chicago?

I guess you still don't get it. Our hands are tied because we get no backing from the liberals as well as the CPD brass. We like our house and families and don't want to risk losing it when we are not backed 100%. Also, remember our brass and that loser Weis told you crime is down (ha ha) and the media is not allowed to report this shit because they are run by Dickhead Daley.
One more thing. I wonder if the know it all's like the wannabe at 12:55 realize that the liberals in this city had the law regarding our ability to charge a 17 year old as an adult has been changed raising the age to 18? The one good tool we USED to have taken away from us because the liberals felt bad for the "youths", the same ones pillaging and plundering on the BLVD? How's that little change working out for you?
I don't work in 018 so let's get that out of the way from the getgo. Is there anybody on this form that will admit that Sgt. Howard from the southside knew what to do about this problem.Can all of who that are beefin about the guys in 018 not doing their job see what happens when one who does know how to handle the job handles it? These thugs understand one thing and one thing alone. Force. And when you arrest the police for doing what needs to be done can you see how this problem on Michigan Ave. will only get worse?

CPD and the Greater North Michigan Ave. Association need to work together to figure out a way to keep this plague from turning Michigan Ave. into the new west side.
