"These are the same people that they're looking to take pensions away from. The city should be thankful that they have young men that are out here still doing their jobs every morning while we're sound asleep."
The only problem is that media outlets cut this quote from Camden's video appearance, so if you didn't catch the earliest media reports, you have to dig around the WGN website to find any mention of it.

Look, I know this is going to turn into a big "for and against" FOP and Mike Shields post, but I spent 27+ years as a cop with NO ONE speaking for us in the media, and I for one, am glad to see that we now have a savvy media guy out there giving OUR spin on things before the Daley media people or the offenders' lawyers have had a chance to "muddy us up" or indict us in the press.
I'm giving credit where credit is due, and I think having Camden on board doing what he's doing is not only a breath of fresh air, its inspired leadership. Period.
Channel 9 used the quote at 6am and 630am. Not sure about other times, that was all I saw.
Nice move by Shields to hire him. Even better move to hire Farrell.
So he's getting paid a hundred grand for quotes that get cut from tv anyway.
good work by both officers and glad they are both ok--- another one goes up to boot hill courtesy of chicago's finest--- you always have to wonder why these sausage heads would commit a class x felony for maybe a hundred bucks in a till at a jj peppers--- nothing like job security....
Hiring Camden is one of the best things the FOP has ever done.
Unlike city officials and previous FOP officials, Camden will speak up for our interests and present our side of the story.
Not to fret...the Orange One will be with us for at least a year. Some people on this blog have questioned what Pat does for us. If you can't figure that out, it's a sure sign that you've applied too much hair gel. Go ask someone with some time on the job for an explanation.
When Shields and his guys came around to the roll calls and they said they had Pat lined up and on retainer for exactly this type role, I have to admit I was doubtful. Not of what Pat's capable of, but whether or not Shields guys were trying to blow smoke up our asses.
Nice to see that you made good on this Mike....getting our side out, whether it's the CORRECT facts at a shooting or working in how they're trying to steal our pensions (genius, by the way. I saw it before it was later edited) is invaluable for public image. Too bad those asshole Romeos from 023 made the news again. HINT: DON'T have Camden make ANY proactive statement about these fuckups. Save him for when we're bashed because of this act of the circus.

Score a big one for Camden! Too bad the Machine controlled mainstream media buried this quote. Proof the politicians are gunning for our pensions.
Than we should take out billborads and boycott these media outlets. Learn one thing from those on the left the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

And, Pat, there's a bunch of brave women working the streets, too. Either say 'officer' or remember to include the women.
The Rahmster hasn't even been sworn in yet but he's already got the press muzzled.
It's his way or the highway and if he wants to reduce our pensions he doesn't want the media covering people who think differently than him.
It was on the news at 0700 and edited out by 1100hrs .... lest the media give the entitled ones any idea that those who actually earn a living get what they deserve after a lifetime of serving.
