More Weekend Totals
- Two men are dead and at least 14 people were wounded in separate shootings around the city late Saturday and early this morning.
South Austin, West Garfield Park, Logan Square, South Chicago, Stony Island Park, Washington Park, Englewood, then South Austin and Englewood a second time with West Garfield three more times. Toss in an outlier on Margate Park just to confuse people.
But hey, 30 and 40 people shot on a weekend is now the new normal. Move along. Nothing to see here.

I am surprised we are not seeing more violent behavior. With the bad economy and no jobs things look pretty gloomy. Nice to know our former mayor will be getting $200 grand a year pension and his own body guard detail for who knows how long. Bet Maggie will keep that great medical package too. What a great life if you are born into the right family.

Police described the man as between 20 to 30 years old, about 5-foot-4 and 125 to 140 pounds. Police said he was wearing dark blue jeans, white gym shoes and a baseball cap.

It will be interesting to see how much he is being paid. Rahm balked at paying Ramsey and passed on two highly qualified CPD candidates.
Another Rahm campaign promise broken; Rahm promised the next Supt. would come from the ranks of the CPD. Campaign promises to police officers are like promises to a wife you intend on divorcing, not worth the paper they are printed on.
Perhaps the terrible experiment isn't over after all.

OT source says that they are going to disband most of the Terrorist Unit now that Osama is dead. Unit 704 to be disbanded, all assigned sent back to districts, and 701 is losing approx 75 po's back to districts, as activity shows the unit is not worth the 200 officers they have assigned.
The shootings all happened in nice neighborhoods, right?
Watch McCarthy he will close down areas to residents only,hey great idea I live in Garfield Ridge why not secure it,and do the same for Mount Greenwood we pay the taxes and DESERVE the services!
We must get these gang banger/drug dealer/chicagopublichighschoolgraduates into the gun ranges and teach them to shoot better. That way they will be better tools for us by culling of the herd faster, and we can laugh and laugh and laugh, while we go home safe at night.
