Pray for Cold
Otherwise, these stories are going to be more commonplace than last summer:
- At least seven people, including a 12-year-old boy, were wounded Thursday afternoon and evening in several shootings across the city, authorities said.
- A 21-year-old man was fatally shot Thursday in the West Englewood neighborhood, police said.
- A 32-year-old man was fatally shot Thursday in the South Deering neighborhood on the city's Southeast Side, authorities said.
- A 19-year-old man critically shot in the head Wednesday in the Oakland neighborhood on the South Side has died, authorities said this morning.
- A 24-year-old woman was being questioned this morning following the stabbing death of a 28-year-old man in what police described as a domestic incident late Thursday in the West Englewood neighborhood.
Two uncomfortably warm days, not even truly hot by the standards of July and August, and we end up with almost thirty people shot and five or more dead. In the middle of the week. But hey, crime is down!

I pray for warm sunny weather this weekend, for my own benefit. Got things to do -- nowhere near Englewood -- and these people will fill Chicago Breaking News with their senseless deaths, woundings, etc. no matter what it's like out there. It goes up one degree, they gon' get a freak on. It just doesn't mattter.
It's gonna rain, but they'll just get caught up on Monday.
Have no fear, as there'll soon be 111 additional African American firefighters cross-trained as paramedics that can tend to these victims.
'But hey, crime is down!'
i'm not complaining.

I think you may have missed a few bodies. One popping up in the river, another one found inside an abandon car, the 50 y/o women found dead lying in the alley.
The body counts that we used to get over the weekend are now just a daily occurrence.
The new normal that's become acceptable I'm afraid.
Wave some more drug cartel members across the border while the pres. makes jokes about moats and gators and enrages the border communities that are currently on fire. (google it)
The previous article was brought to you by the generosity of richard m. daley, the man in charge of shitcago. All this gun violence, I don't understand it !
rich daley is responsible for all the "":Strict Laws that Shitcago has in place that were touted as a "violence Cure All Gun Violence"".
P.S. from Chalkie:
Can the shitty keep up with the demand for chalk this coming summer ???????
If only they had more poleese in those neighborhood to stop the folks from killing each other...
Hey here is an idea.....hire some officers. We are down over 4000 and it is getting worse out here.
Why pray for cold? Let the animals kill each other. This is just the urban version of the jungle. Survival of the fittest.
someone shot in englewood???? What's this world coming to? Englewwod used to be a good place to raise a family.
You know, this is ridiculous. We have more shootings but less homicides. I say we have free range lessons for bad guys.
Its going to cold and rain this weekend so the fools will just be shooting in the houses, not the streets
let them kill each other. its the only thing there good at. besides not raising their kids.

Ram's taking over. He's going to fix everything. Of course he's going to demand some "shared sacrifice" from us.
OT: One white guy steals a suit on the Ave and it makes the news. Flash mobs have been creating havoc for the last 6 months and still nothing.

the 'one' man shot on flournoy was actually FIVE men shot. the other four took themselves to the hospital.
Why don't we give the southside to Indiana?
Sure they would cut us down to 5000 or so sworn, but we would get extra breaks.
Well, if you folks in Chi-town would make guns/handguns illegal then...oh...uh..
