Technical Difficuilties (UPDATED)
Blogger crashed Wednesday.
To fix it, they had to make the entire network "Read Only" and then they removed all posts from Wednesday evening onward. We've been checking it every couple of hours from various locations, but we weren't even able to post an update to let everyone know what was going on. This gave us a mini-break and allowed us to finish some packing for a weekend trip you may have heard about.
It also has put us two days behind in posting threads, two days behind in going through comments and from what we can tell, may have wiped out dozens or hundreds of comments from Wednesday onward. So if something is missing, or you had some brilliant observation, or if you had solved world hunger and brought peace to the globe, it might be gone forever.
In the meantime, we're going to try to put things together here before departure. Updates will be sporadic.
Open post for now.
UPDATE: The Thursday threads are back in place but without the comments that were posted in each thread. As far as we can account, the total number of comments lost is around 100 or so. It is possible that at some point, the comments will reappear. The last time this happened, the comments returned about 10 months later, so any brilliance (or the polar opposite of brilliance) may pop up in a year's time.

Navy Pier was not shut down due to any wilding incident. I know several people that work there and this never happened. So even though there are situations happening downtown, Navy Pier was not under attack.
Welcome back....heard a rumer our favorite police impersonator was arrested again in 007 tues, this time with a gun!!

There's a lot of reasons everything, everywhere is falling to pieces but the biggest single one is the media not telling the truth when it conflicts with liberal ideals. They've been doing it at least 40 years, maybe longer.

If there's a place where true reality is consistently repeating then instead of talk about getting all Charlie Bronson on them, get all Charlie Spielberg on them instead and stick it on the internet.

as in, there are, effectively, no rules for the miscreants you've described, so figure it out what rules you are willing to impose upon yourself and your loved ones.
assign mobile unit et's to detective division , assign et's to a different district everyday to assist in traffic enforcement and as a back up to distict beat cars or handle the preliminary burglary , robbery , sex offense case reports and then process crime scene , this would keep beat car available

I don't know the specific answer to that question but the general answer is...
If you get your head straight that anyone hostile forcing their way into your home when your family is there is *bleep* and you really get that idea set and concreted in your mind with what you'll use and how you'll do it and all the rest then the chance of your family being targeted will go down 80% just from how you walk.
The other 20% of the time you might get crucified but i reckon that's good odds.

I'm in 010 District and our new LT. Hinted that he is in the know and the plan was set to roll out with the new administration and YES E.T. are back. Well we do need the help and I think we could get better responses with them in the District. Districts like 010 really need them any who!
