Another Attack - No Descriptions
Chicago rocker Billy Corgan described his brother’s mugging early Thursday on a Red Line train as “sad and terrible.”
“He was just sitting there on the train, listening to his iPod,” Corgan told the Chicago Sun-Times Thursday evening. “They obviously set him up to rob him.”
Jesse Andersen, 35, of Evanston, was on a Red Line train about 4:30 a.m., heading to his job at the Hyatt Regency Hotel downtown, when he was attacked, Andersen told WLS-Channel 7.
A woman took Andersen’s iPod, and when he tried to grab it back from her, he was “blocked” by other suspects and then punched in the mouth, Chicago police said. The suspects — described as four males and a female, all between the ages of 15 and 25 — then fled.
Wow. We'll be sure to be on the lookout for these offenders.

He looks to have some sort of physical impairment, or he is just that fudged up from drugs, but either way during the interview with the talking head he DID call his offender a "black guy" and then he looked like he was the cat that ate the canary.

For what it is worth, the victim does indeed have mental issues. So if he he looked a bit "fudged up on drugs" it is really because he is mildly autistic.

The NRA put out a well written warning to all its readers about staying away from Chicago. Since the NRA has over a million members and supporters, I think the Nation is starting to learn the truth about this out of control city and all it's ghetto mongers
I think these children may come from "under served" neighborhoods which legitimizes their actions. Maybe we (the served and "over served") of this city could help them by providing more money, activities, and other "incentives" so they won't get into anymore mischief. All we have to do is work a little harder to show them we understand and are concerned about them. C'mon people whadda ya say! Let's do it for the kids!!

Anyone who walks down the streets of Chicago or rides a public conveyance wearing headphones or talking on their IPhone in plain view might as well walk down the street with a sign which reads "WAITING TO BE ROBBED" in bold letters on their chest. I'm just sayin.'

Did the Roosevelt CTA bus incident make the news? I don't understand the problem with describing the thieves. If you get beaten and have everything taken from you that you had on you at the time, chances are the criminals were black males from the ghetto. If all of the money you had put away in your retirement account were stolen and the entire country were plunged into the worst economic disaster since the Great Depression, chances are the criminals are white male executives from a bank.

Right; just like every girl wearing a short skirt to school or a swimsuit at the beach or a pair of shorts at a tennis court, is wearing a sign that says, "WAITING TO BE RAPED".
The point is, no one should HAVE to fear using their iPhone, wearing that short skirt, leaving their passenger window open, etc.
We're supposed to be working toward a society that people can be safe in, not working AWAY from it. Rather than blame the vic, squash the offenders.
