- Chicago police responded to another report of a mob attack Wednesday afternoon.
Police say a man was attacked by four individuals 3 males and 1 female in the 300 block of West Chicago near the CTA Brown Line.
The offenders took the man's wallet and iPhone.
The victim was transported to Northwestern Hospital in serious condition.

"A man was shot after he pointed a gun at a Chicago police officer following a traffic stop near Garfield Park on the West Side late this afternoon, police said.
"One person was taken in serious-to-critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital from the 3700 block of West Washington Boulevard after Fire Department ambulances were dispatched to deal with a person shot, said fire spokesman Richard Rosado.
"The man was stopped by police about 5:50 p.m. and someone in the car had a gun in his hand when officers stopped the car, police said.
"When police told the man to drop the weapon, he did not, and an officer shot him in the leg, police said...."

Clearly white people are being chosen and targeted among the black offenders... why is this not a hate crime?? what would happen if the same group were white people who went to the ghetto and ONLY targeted black people and left white people alone???? yep, you guessed it.. hate crime. Why did the 111th and kedzie wildings not make the news? its an all white neighborhood with most of the residents being police officers, firefighters and city workers.. I guess if its not gold coast its not news. "Man charged in Wilmette after violent purse snatching"
A Chicago man was arrested in Wilmette after allegedly breaking a woman’s hand during an attempted purse-snatching.
Wilmette police arrested James Myer, 17, of the 6800 block of South Dorchester, at 2 p.m. Tuesday. He allegedly walked into a business in the 1100 block of Wilmette Avenue and took a woman’s purse, according to a police alert.
The woman tried to stop Myer from running away, the alert said, and during a struggle “Myer caused the victim’s hand to fracture.”
A store employee ran after Myer and detained him until police arrived, the alert said.
Myer was charged, as an adult, with robbery. Bond was set at $15,000 and his next court date is scheduled for June 20 at the Skokie courthouse.

Mainstream media has finally started to report crime in the more fashionable parts of town, but only because it has spun out of control into anarchy. The most reliable source of crime-wave information has been Second City Cop, a blog started by a member of the Chicago police force.
Based on my conversations with friends and neighbors, citizens of Chicago feel lied-to by Acting Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy. On Memorial Day, North Avenue beach, in one of Chicago's more affluent areas, was closed after gang violence. This is unprecedented. McCarthy repeatedly told the media it was due to people succumbing to the hot weather. Not true. Violence was out of control as beach-goers were harassed by mobs and cyclists were pulled off their bikes and beaten.
Mainstream media now contradicts McCarthy's feeble spin. One police officer told the media that 500 youths exited public transportation for the lakefront and while they were there, citizens were harassed.
CBS reported wilding incidents at this beach earlier in May, and police patrols had already been stepped-up. Two bike riders on the North Avenue Beach path had been mobbed by about 100 teens. They were knocked off their bikes and then thrown into Lake Michigan. Yet Near North District commander Kenneth Angarone said police responding at the scene did not find a "bona fide incident."

Off topic...did anyone see that A&E has a spin off of their popular show "First 48" called "First 48: Missing Persons"? I watched an episode yesterday which was filmed in Chicago following CPD missing persons dicks. It was a good episode. Displayed us in a much better and realistic light than that bullshit "Chicago Code". More episodes will feature Chicago cases.
Pretty good, but if they want it to be real, they should just show the person in Missing Persons taking the notification.......with the exception of a few tender ages, I have never seen them come out for anything......

What do you expect district resouces to do about it? they are short just like every other district that didn't get manpower. They run one-man cars, run from call to call and chase these jagoffs all night long; plus they handle all the shoplifting calls all night as well, and there are alot of them! Why does the mayor and mcCarthy always compare us to houston? That is bullshit. Compare the crime rates. The mayor used Houston to compare public schools. he said Houston public school days are 8 hours. But he forgot to mention they end the school year June 1st, not like Chicago which ends June 15th. Now they compare houston PD with CPD? Anything to avoid hiring.

When confronted with the truth, he renamed the incident to multiple offender robberies and insists the roving bands of felons on the Mag Mile are just youthful indiscretions by small groups of two or four children.
