Cops, Firefighter Injured
- In 80 degree weather, firefighters fought to douse a fast-moving blaze inside a brick apartment building in the 7900 block of South Dobson Avenue Friday evening.
No major injuries were reported, though a firefighter was treated for a minor laceration at the scene, fire officials said. With black smoke still curling out of the building, the injured firefighter was able to return to service.
Two Chicago police officers who suffered smoke inhalation at the scene where taken to University of Chicago Hospitals. They later were treated and released.
Best wishes to all involved for a speedy recovery.

Ha in 80 degree weather! Good one!
The Civic Committee of the Commercial Club of Chicago is pushing the changes to pensions. If you take a moment to scroll through their membership rolls you will see they are virtually all millionaires.

Some of those members listed are very high level executives from downtown investment firms. Do some of those firms have investment contracts with the pension fund? Are we actually hiring people to manage money who belong to an organization that is at the same time lobbying to cut our benefits? Does this pose a conflict of interest? Does this sit sit well with our elected pension representatives?
I hope everyone will be ok , and there was another big fight at North Ave. beach last night , and wilders also hit Nordstroms and Watertower .

We in this country have increased the amount of millionaire tenfold since all this shit started! they give to the welfare breeders, link card holders to make them shut the fuck up and then they take from us to enrich themselves nice huh! GOT DALEY?
does maggie still get 4m from the city budget for her special project.that money could be used to help balance the pension deficit.
Prayers that they all mend fast and mend well! Be safe CPD and CFD!
The Commercial Club should concern themselves with the massive waste in city government - pod cameras, Shanks and other double-dipping politicians' pensions, aldercreatures' pay, to name a few.
CPD/CFD pensions are a drop in the bucket in comparison - and you have earned every penny if not more.
not a cop
