NYC Subway Shut Down for Heat

Actually, the subway was shut down for someone getting cut in half by the train, but she fainted because of the heat, so New York officials are looking into stealing this idea from Chicago:
  • An aspiring doctor was killed in a horrific subway accident yesterday when she passed out on a sweltering Upper East Side platform and fell onto the tracks -- realizing what happened too late to escape an uptown train bearing down on her.

Fatoumata Binta Amina Diallo, 21, "was cut in half," said one shocked witness.

Diallo fainted at around 3 p.m. at the 77th Street/Lexington Avenue station, which was filled with schoolkids on their way home, said transit and police sources.

Does anyone see how ridiculous City Hall's excuses seem yet? We mean besides our readers.

It may not have been the heat, the article says she just came from the dentist. Her fainting may have been due to drugs administered during a dental procedure.

Either way, not a good ending. I'm just sayin'

...and then she tries to get home on a sweltering subway packed with screaming kids...

My eyes are startin' to roll up too.

Summer in the big city, life/death...I can see the same newspaper story from 1943.

One says a prayer and goes on somehow.

Maybe G-HEAT has a friend in New York, who is attempting to take the "Heat" off of G-Heat by closing the subway due to heat!
