Those Darn Police
A 52-year-old man with 106 arrests on his record was arrested again Tuesday afternoon, accused of robbing a disabled person in Uptown, Chicago police said.
Michael Woods, of the 900 block of West Wilson Avenue, has been charged with strong-arm robbery of a handicapped victim over 60, battery and resisting arrest, said Chicago Police [...].
The incident happened about 3:15 p.m. Tuesday in the 1000 block of West Lawrence Avenue, [...]. Woods and an accomplice allegedly approached and tried to steal $60 the victim, a 71-year-old man, had in his hand.
Oh wait. It's the police who have been doing their job. It's the judges and State's Attorney's Office who haven't been keeping up their part. Under any sort of of "Three Strikes" law, this guy would have struck out about seven-and-a-half innings ago. Why is he still haunting the streets?

Too bad crook county didn't keep him in jail or have the balls to convict more of his crimes. O wait! He's an honor student. The police need to stop shooting honor students. There won't be anybody left to run the police department.
So whats he going to get out of this one? a few free meals, a few visits to the hospital for meds and number 107 arrests on his rap sheet. Since the cops didn't see him take anything from the victim, states att will not want to proceed because his victims He might not be good witness. No dna!! perhaps if shields at FOP would have supported concealed carry some victim would have done what the court system won't do, get him off the street forever.

Do you know what the "Three Strikes Law" requires? It's not 3 BS arrests, or 3 convictions for class 4 felonies. I'm sure if you saw the half sheets on many of those arrest cases, you'd see a bunch of notations "AONIC"

Media should jump all over this and ask the states attny and judges why this goof has been allowed out. Perhaps a states attny or judges' family member must be victimized before they uphold a convicts sentencing.

That's why I voted "No" straight down the list for retaining any of the judges. They're not doing what they were sworn in to do which is causing everyone who contributes positively to society to suffer....then all the blame falls on the police.

Yes, there are screw-ups everywhere. However, it's not screw ups that are the problem here. It is the unbroken chain of Democrat control over Cook County that has caused it to be the laughing stock. High taxes, high crime, businesses fleeing. Those aren't screwups as much as direct, intended results of infettered Democrat policies in action.
Look at the collar counties--particularly Republican Dupage--much less crime, lower taxes, and very few democrats.
