Democratic Gov. Pat Quinn on Wednesday gave a highly paid position to the daughter of the Illinois Supreme Court justice who swore him into office and a powerful Chicago alderman who was a major campaign donor.
Attorney Jennifer Burke, 41, was named to the Illinois Pollution Control Board, a post that pays $117,043, Quinn’s office said.
She is the daughter of Justice Anne Burke and 14th Ward Ald. Ed Burke, chairman of the City Council’s Finance Committee. Jennifer Burke works for the city as an assistant corporation counsel supervisor. As of last month, her annual salary was $99,948.

Another big job! Zalewskis daughter in law got a $120,000 new job from Quinn but Quinn said at 25 she was the "most qualified!" Incredible again and again it goes on the "friends and family" program no others need apply,just keep paying our huge taxes,watch businesses flee as the "money train" keeps on running!

Just remember though, it's the greedy police with their over-inflated pensions that are bankrupting the government! It's definitely not the welfare collectors and the shady thieving politicians that pander to them in order to stay in office.
Anne Burke is the true political hack in that family. Zero experience as a judge and she's appointed by "big" Jim to a high level judgeship.

Zalewskis's son is a true piece of work. Daddy got him a job as a States Attorney right out of school. A more pompous ASA with no experience I have never met. After doing his "time" there off he went to Gerry Chicos Law firm to pull in a hefty six figure salary.
Finally with years of experience as a public servant and being well versed in the problems and issues of the area he runs for state representative and wins.
Keep voting for all these political hack familys people, they're looking out for all of us.

In two years of working with her, I never once saw or heard of her pulling rank or even mentioning who her father or mother is.
There are undeserving hacks out there. But she's not one of them, not by a long stretch.

I wonder how often this board actually meets? There are some city and state boards that only meet once a month and some only once per year and do so by telephone. These boards are nothing but payback positions for the clouted political class. And, i thought Quinn was an honest man and would clean up state government. How wrong I was. If he signs that new gambling bill we will all know how corrupt he actually is. The new gambling bill gives Chicago their own gaming commission, totally independent of the state gaming commission. His donations had nothing to do with it,she was the most qualified! What kind of good attorney would take such a low paid job? maybe 1 that could not set up a trail properly and even though oily Eddie is connected they could not take a chance on his daughter!
What the fuck? Seriously. I am tired of some people being treated like royalty while the rest of us suffer under the weight of the taxes they impose on us. I have been working two crappy jobs waiting to hear back from CPD and other police departments in hopes that I can find a decent career. And these people just get their careers handed to them. I am tired of this. THings need to change and the nepotism in this goddamned state needs to stop!
