The reorganization is 6 bureaus, each headed by a chief. The chiefs are:
- Patrol: Ernest Brown
- Detectives: Thomas Byrne
- Organized Crime: Nicholas Roti
- Internal Affairs: Juan Rivera
- Administrative Services: Beatrice Cuello
- Organizational Development: Brian Murphy
All Assistant Superintendents and Bureau Deputy Superintendent spots are eliminated.

Now, word is that the goof refused to approve an arrest of a Federal immigration deportation WARRANT! LEADS ok'ed it ICE ok'ed it. Yet this merit Lt won't approve a warrant singed by a FEDERAL JUDGE!

Eddie Johnson a truly good guy, but not the sharpest tool in the shed. He never went thru compstat, his district is in shambles, but promote him. That's a sad state of affairs they there wasn't one other person they could put in area 4.
I'm sure in a few months , area 1 will be Carothers and are 4 will be Flores, why not we seem to excellent in leadership.

Those of us who embrace the notions of character and accountability would say that the person himself is responsible for how he uses his gun. If an individual or group tends to use guns in a murderous manner, then we point to defects in character and hold those individuals or groups fully accountability for their actions.
However, Chicago Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy has a different idea: he recently asked a church to consider "federal gun laws that facilitate the flow of illegal firearms into our urban centers, across this country, that are killing black and brown children." So laws should be blamed, to some significant degree, for minority violence. This may come as a surprise to those with a more traditional view of free will and human dignity.
McCarthy made his remarks at the St. Sabina Church, with Father Michael Pfleger and the congregation in approval. It's always tempting to evade responsibility and blame society for individual failings. But that temptation carries a serious price, especially when community leaders and public policy strip people of their responsibilities. Claiming that gun laws cause violence in the black community is a shameful attempt to shift responsibility.
Shifting responsibility is a natural but dangerous reaction to the black crime rate. Different racial groups experience the problem of gun violence differently: the firearm homicide rate is at 18 per 100,000 members of the population for blacks, and 1.5 per 100,000 for whites, according to the liberal Brady Center. Even the white rate is over 50% above the gun homicide rate in other Western nations...
Real Simple. McCotney added a Deputy Chief to IAD because he is going to add alot of personnel to that unit in the near future. He is also going to increase staffing in the Inspectors Unit with Captains. Lts. will be made Watch Commanders and Commanders will assume new titles. Book It. McCotney is not your friend. Go to a Comp-Stat meeting and see how he treats people. Not a Class Act.

Wow, I am really impressed at that. Too bad there is no one here capable of running the organization. Next time they will select a former chief of police from Toronto, Canada. Low murder rate you know and nice spiffy uniforms.
I have less than two years left and do not care which goof gets all the stars on his uniform.
This retired guy Veth must be juiced. G-8 Summit is entrusted to him. A retiree making over a hundred G's is very heavy. Must be a genius to have so much given to him.
