Wilding Arrest
A 15-year-old boy who was part of a group beating a male on the street outside Water Tower Place Saturday night was charged with felony mob action.
The attack happened at 8:26 p.m. in the 800 block of North Michigan Avenue, according to police News Affairs [...]. The teen’s name was not being released because he is a juvenile.
A Chicago police officer in the area at the time saw what he thought was a group of people "acting rambunctiously, jumping up and down" and when he got closer, he saw the group was beating up a male of an unidentified age....
All others in the group fled the scene but the boy was arrested. The victim declined to prosecute and was not taken to a hospital....

I don't know much about the details, but good work by the police officer, who singlehandedly(?) prevented and stopped what could have been a more serious crime (serious injury to victim, etc.).

Lock the victim up as a mutual combatant. If he wasn't being victimized, then he was part of a mob action.
More mob action occurring over in London. Why on earth would we want to invite that kind of mindless violence over here with the G8 Summit? Can anyone explain why we would want a complete lockdown of the downtown area complete with arson and looting? You would also be putting law enforcement and civilians at great risk of injury or death.

You are an idiot. In a completely unsafe and unreliable world, Israel is the only nation in the entire world that stands shoulder to shoulder with the United States of America. No other country is more reliable to the U.S.A. than Israel.
The underlying problem is the destruction of the family. The result is a generation of immoral, unprincipled, uneducated alleycats charitably called men who prey on and freely impregnate equally immoral and vunerable young women. Chances are that most of these lousy young vandals and petty thiefs were "raised" by these unwed mothers who are encouraged in their unhealthy lifestyles by the promise of receiving totally unearned "benefits" (ie., welfare/charity/handouts - money earned by their working and contributing neighbors, and heavily "appropriated" by our uninspired taxing agencies to simply hand out to the unproductive drones in our society - thus perpetuating our dying welfare state).
Until personal virtue and the sanctity of family are taught in our schools and re-enthroned in our communities, these riots in the streets and the related vandalism and pillaging (stealing) by those crooks who will never be satisfied with the level of their unearned government handouts will only increase until we have total anarchy

As much as I understand your frustration by all of this. If you were caught targeting this human trash you would be charged with a hate crime and the Revs would just say the kids were just shopping on MI avenue with their Link cards. Let time run its course. It's only a matter of time befofe society has had enough and bites back (CCW).
BTW the vic should have pressed charges if only to send a message to the perps "we will prosecute and this is not behavior that will be ignored". Maybe they will think twice if they know John Q public will prosecute and there is jail time in their future if they go down that road.
