Another Bike Beating
- A 61-year-old man was seriously injured tonight when he was beaten by three males and robbed of his bicycle on the West Side in the city's Humboldt Park neighborhood.
The robbery happened about 7:15 p.m. on the 3800 block of West Grand Avenue, said Police News Affairs [...].
Preliminary reports said the man was robbed and assaulted by a group of three males....
The man was reported in serious condition, but there was no immediate information available about where he was taken for treatment.
So the solution here is to ban bicycles seeing as how they attract unsavory elements who are jealous of people who have two-wheeled conveyances.

Its 4AM I just got in the house. 15 Minutes ago I'm responding to a burglary in progress in 007. As I approach 63rd and Damen I see a
small object in the street then a second by the curb and a third further west. What was it you ask, a pack of dogs, discarded junk, empty boxes. None of the above it was three small children the oldest maybe five walking a half block behind a female of the species.
After the job is coded I go back and try to explane the error in her way but all I see is a blank stare and get "they mine I can do what I want with em". And that explains the fad called "wilding" they just cant help themselves.
No. No. Ban motor vehicles.
I think the City Council should increase the fines for bicyclist beaters! What!? There is no fine? Well, lets enact a fine. That'll put a stop to these ruffians. Problem solved.

The solution is to register bikes, have owners take a bike safety course (they must pay for), enforce a bike curfew, make it a crime to resist an attempt robbery, you must walk your bike so you don't get knocked off it, and most of all, keep drinking the City of Chicago flavored Kool-Ade.

The real solution is when you have identified the three animals put them up against a wall and shoot them. Put in on the news as a warning to others. In many third world nations these little bastards would never make it to a police station. In some places their hands would be cut off. But why reward these little creeps with disability checks.
What about the 10, 12, and 15 year olds who robbed the guy on the green line last week.
My advice to all potential victims is as follows:
Have a plan! Acknowledge that this may be your last moment on Earth. Quickly come to terms with it and grab ahold of the nearest savage taking part in your robbery. Grab him around the neck and stick your fingers so fucking far into his eye socket that you touch the pile of mush most of us would call a brain. Hold on for your life. Keep repeating the following: " I thought they were going to kill me."
i remember an incident several years ago in bridgeport when mr. clark was knocked off his bike and CNN ran the story around the clock for about a month. not sure why the media is not covering this incident with the same eagle eye?

This shit won't stop until some of these dirtbags get blown away by their intended target. Unfortunately, the law abiding citizens will not start carrying concealed firearms with them until the cops stop arresting them for mere possession. Therefore, these sorts of incidents will continue because there are no negative consequences. Hopefully, one day soon they will try this on an off-duty copper who will send them all to the afterlife. Until that happens, expect more of the same. Sooner or later the laws in this crooked state will be changed and normal, honest people will finally be able to defend themselves from the savages. In the meantime, ask yourself if you would arrest a good citizen simply in possession of a handgun. If you answered yes, then you are part of the problem.

The is CAMERA HOUSE. We love to bicycle and I am a data networking contractor.
I am going to start carrying the very LONG nylon cable ties with us - the 3 foot variety. If someone attempts to take our bicycles or assault us, we will tie them up NAKED to the nearest tree or light pole, stuff their dirty underwear into their mouths, video the entire incident, including the assault on us, and notify you after we have posted the video on You Tube.
If I can figure out how to make a profit off of this then we will give you 50% of whatever we gross for your replacement uniform fund.
So, if you find naked men tied to light poles and trees in Humboldt Park it will probably be because they attempted to assault us.
Incidentally, if you get a complaint that a maniac cyclist took a baseball bat to someone's car when the driver cut them off or opened a door because they didn't look to see who was coming, we will also accept that blame.
My grandmother, when she was in her 80s, carried an umbrella and used to beat the hoods of Mercedes and other expensive automobiles as they attempted to cut her off on Michigan Avenue at Water Tower Place. It always annoyed and embarrassed me when she did it but I now understand why.
We are 60 and 58, respectively now, so it is time we started to adopt her tactics with both gangs and rude drivers.
For the record: our bicycles are already registered and we are actively working to get other cyclists to KNOW and OBEY the SHARE THE ROAD rules, stop at lights and signs, wear helmets, and appropriately signal.
