An Insult! Disgraceful!
- Former Mayor Richard M. Daley is responding angrily to allegations about his wife’s favorite charitable project.
As WBBM Newsradio’s Regine Schlesinger reports, allegations surfaced last week that recipients of tax increment financing (TIF) grants from the city of Chicago under Daley were pressured to make donations to then First Lady Maggie Daley’s pet project, After School Matters.
The former Mayor calls those allegations “disgraceful.”
Daley called the allegations a personal insult to his wife. He says no one was ever pressured to donate to After School Matters.
Of course, the Inspector General's report never mentioned Mrs. Daley. It never mentioned that Rahm had a seat on the board in the past or that Mrs. Rahm currently is a member of the board. All it mentioned was a suspicious lack of transparency and a tendency for companies with city contracts to choose a mandatory charitable donation to a foundation that happens to be run by the ex-mayor's wife.

The ma extorts businesses doing business with city for her made up after school programs. And the dad orchestrates it all and keeps everyone from getting pinched. They make organized crime families look like altar boys.

When I went to school - after-school activities consisted of sports and homework, homework and more homework. Adults were in charge then.

Seems Tricky Dick bought hundreds of thousands of dollars from Solargenix (most of which were never installed, due to the high cost) and gave them an interest-free loan for over a million dollars, which Solargenix later renegotiated and paid the city back with what? More solar panels that also were never installed!
Some of the solar panels sit in a city warehouse. Where are the rest? Who knows??
Turns out the CEO of Solargenix is one of Tricky Dick's neighbors.
Can someone PLEASE investigate this and so many deals like this and INDICT THIS ASSHOLE?
Has the statute of limitations run out on all of his illegal deals?

I have been allowed the luxury of allowing the UCPD to reach the highest levels of EXECUTIVE STAFF in decades! You see, it's not about the numbers of (patrolman) boots on the ground,
it's about the numbers of executive staff there
to tell them what they need to do! That new
Supt. McCarthy now gets it; when he forgets
his place, thankfully Rahm is there to remind
him of where his priorities should be. Staff,
staff, and staff again! As long as we here at
the UCPD keep executive staffing at its highest
levels in the past 20+ years, those nasty little
crime spurts will sort themselves out. Besides,
once one our 40 Deans of Student Handholding
has been notified, funds are immediately released
to student victims; their IPhones and MacBookPros
are immediately replaced the next business day.
We will never allow crime to cause a drop in
student enrollment among the children of the
world's leaders. After all, without those alumni
checks coming in, where would we be? Why,
the U of C would be no better (and certainly no
safer) than those attending Columbia College.
We've got to have something to justify charging
about 3 times the tuition of that place, for sure!
And to further show that we are innovative in
leadership and frugality, each and every one of
our executive staff here at the UCPD has their
own low-mileage SUV, fully loaded, of course.
