No Mutual Aid?

Rumor has it that in anticipation of the upcoming G-8 and NATO conferences, no "mutual aid" from surrounding suburban forces, state police or out-of-state departments is being requested.

You read that correctly. NO requests are being made. We will handle this on our own.

We'd pass this off as some sort of joke, except we've heard it a few times from people who ought to be in the know, and they're worried.

We also received second-hand word that the brass will not be allowing the Gas Teams to operate within city limits. Evidently, the pictures from 1968 are too fresh in their minds.

Anyone want to let the readers know what we're in for?

They had gas teams up for obama election too, Im gonna say false. But, I dont have anything to say its false except my common sense... My common sense is just screaming that its impossible for just the city to handle it and there is NO way the city could be so dumb....could they? no need to answer

I find that hard to believe.

Next thing you will tell me the new Sup says we don't need any additional new hires.

Shit.

Does anyone know if the Feds are paying for the security costs of the two or three planned conferences?

I hope so and if so we should be bringing in additional help. Most of the people who show up to protest will be annoying and harmless, but the hard core anarchists who travel the world for these events are miserable, violent, destructive turds.

No gas teams because the buildings have air intake systems from the ground. No bean-bag ordinance because of some female getting killed by it at some other protest. Probably no shields because the city is to cheap to provide enough. I heard that our main plan is to just pray really hard for a blizzard in May during that week. Tom Skilling has been contacted.

I find this hard to believe. The State Police are always chomping at the bit to help out CPD during these large events, such as the TABD, the Bulls Championships, and the 1994 World Cup Soccer matches. Perhaps CPD brass has not requested any mutual aid at this point, but I'd bet ISP and many suburban departments step up during the G-8.

Were in for a world of shit. Did anyone notice the demographics of crime reduction? In the last 10 years Chicago has lost 200,000 African Americans. Not that they are crime creators, but no more housing projects = less crime. check suburban crime stats and our suburbs. Thru the roof.
How about crime in 002 district? down? no more projects, same in 013, and 011.

Dear Readers, this is what I think you are in store for: London 2011! Can you say London 2011? What's that I heard, London 2011? Oh, London 2011, I see.

Here is something I wish to share with the citizens of Chicago: London 2011.

The leaders of this city probably are thinking London 2011, just in case you didn't know that.

I am thinking London 2011, too. I am thinking of being part of those London 2011 citizens who banded together to protect their lives and their property because the politicians and bosses of the police department where timid, weak and misguided.

My advice to my fellow citizens is this: Don't expect the Mayor or the Superintendent of Police to do anything until it is way out of control. Protect yourselves, Chicago.

Oh, and one more thing, don't forget about London 2011.

This rumor is too stupid to be true except that it comes from Democrats who think we have more than enough police as long as they have their bodyguards.

I don't think that will happen because Barrack will have to be in attendance. Now with a wave of his Socialist hands will he calm the rioting masses. I don't think so because many of them will come to raise hell and don't really give a damn about protesting anything.

One thing Rahm can't afford is one let alone two meltdowns when the whole world will be watching. He can't blame McGeeze or the whole Department for something that will look to the world as really bad planning.

Can you imagine what BHO will be saying to Rahm is he has to come to ether of these events and the city is in chaos and it is on the world news.

Stay safe, if this is true there comes a time when the system just has to break down, crash and burn if things will ever get better.

The reason why this is happening is that the city is not willing to indemnify the suburban agencies!

Big controversy between the city and ILEAS. It seems that when the burbs came into town to help during O'Bama's election that this being a preplanned event, ILEAS asked the Superintendent for indemnity. J-Fled stonewalled them all the way upto the election eve. The suburbs came in (thanks guys!)anyway.

The suburban mayors and village managers had a fit about this as their asses were out in the wind if one of their officers got hurt, shot someone, etc. Fool us once; They vowed that this will not happen again.

So during the preplanning for G8, CPD went to ILEAS and asked for help again. ILEAS said no problem but where is our indemnity? And whle your are at it, is there any hope and change money out there to cover OT, hirebacks, fuel, etc? The city backed off.

Violent protests have swept through Europe amd Africa and will change the pace of such events here. You can expect to same the same level of lawlessness and destruction.

I worked the DNC in Chicago as a member of a Gang Team in the 90's. We never deployed because people were scared of what CPD might do. Believe or not we got over on the reps of Guys from 68.

Well, now very few remember 68 and nobody fears the Police anymore. Add in the fact that the CPD Ranks are at an all time low and you are on a pathway to disaster.

If Command Staff has a brain they will study up on current riot control trends and ask for all the help they can get.

We cannot afford the level of destruction in Athen and the United Kingdom.

The above poster is absolutely correct! The City is balking at indemnifying reponding agencies that respond to the ILEAS activation. I send 10 of my guys, with 2 Sergeants and 7 vehicles(2 fully equipped SUV's with tactical gear) to the Presidents Election Night activation, without that indemnification, and trust me I heard about it from my bosses. Why? because it is/was the right thing to do. I also ate the approx $3k in OT,gas, meals etc out of my budget. We are all in this together, especially in the rough economy. Absent that idemnification I think the City will have a tough(er) time getting that type of response, and trust me you will need that and more with the upcoming Summits.

The G-8 Summit in Pittsburgh was a powder keg that never went off thanks to the cooperation of multiple government agencies and (most importantly) the people of Pittsburgh (they were glad to have us). In the end the G is going to cover their ass and whatever needs to be done will be done. The most difficult task will be overcoming the incompetence of our local political and police leadership.

As one of the organizers of these events coming next May, and having studied Military Intelligence with idea that I could work with the various cultures, of law enforcement, and citizens. My thesis, that it took me so many years to write, my conclusions were received quite well by the spies by the way, and they agreed with me and began helping me.
I am trying to encourage people based on a Union model to bring their children in strollers, and the police self police themselves to the point of turning in property damages. The dum kids smashing windows seem to forget that the fat cats they are trying to get taxed, HIRE PEOPLE TO INCITE RIOTS. Confessions of Union Buster is a good book about police officers and protester's being manipulated into deadly battles, meant to divide and conquer the working class.

The people behind these protester's are not children of wealth from the burb's whacked on acid dreams, these are people who really ran the protests, the cool ones where people brought strollers and their parents AND POLICE felt heart enough to break bread when out jobs are over. felt as safe as the police... The one strategy that came to was to make sure all protests are clearly billed FAMILY AFFAIRS. This would stop violence to protesters and police officers, and show the world that we ARE NOT OUR GOVERNMENT... WE ARE INDIVIDUALS WHO MAKE OUR OWN DECISIONS.

I am fifty, have fifteen years of college five majors including MI, and I am still ignorant as all hell, which I discover in your site more than most. You give me a feeling at least you officers on this feed... that we are looking for the same things in this IS OBVIOUS. Raising up the union powers, which would obviously help the police immensely, especially if you will work with us. I have worked with presidents, MI, the CIA, the FBI, Homeland security, Daily after my comedy, quite popular with the armed services, went a little far and I got a fatwa...since i am not the typical artist, they used me a spider in a web, and busted at least five. after that Daley saw me laying in bed for a month, thought I was afraid to leave the house, andput up forty cameras in my area. Truth is, they had me working with them on the surge and I ordered some horrifying war crimes that worked brilliantly and saved alot of lots in a battle where marines were being shot down and bombed every day, during the surge. Long story. I refused tosign any loyalties oaths I would not be able to write about. thank you brave officers, and if we have anything to do with the may protests, I AM A RADICAL,MILITARY INTELLIGENCE ANALYSTS, PERSONAL THINK TANK OF PRESIDENTS (I back, issues and not politicians, so I had to politely decline.

I have thousands of the radicals all over the world are being effected by idea that we can stop this divide and conquer which leaves the police working for people who know WOULD not invite your kids to their house for their kids birthdaYs. THEY THINK THEY ARE BETTER THAN YOU.

I am going to instigating my research how to back to the union protests where they actually something done, all the only police there were to direct the parade, and afterwards we everyone made sure the police went home with lots of food.

We will stop the violence of this on our own... no matter how long this charade which makes us look like chumps sounding intuitive, we should hide our secrets,etc...the problem with hunting . the second best thing I think you could do international intercepts, people who are going to these protests on people who are known to be going into protest zones who have been filmed before,

well lookie here..

Just a few days ago Rahm had an "Aviation Summit" with all the head honchos from the airlines.

Fast forward to today:

Shares of airlines were in a nosedive today with American Airlines parent AMR (NYSE: AMR ) falling as much as 41%, while Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL ) , United Continental (NYSE: UAL ) , US Airways (NYSE: LCC ) , and JetBlue (Nasdaq: JBLU ) all fell 10% or more. Even perennial investor favorite Southwest Airlines (NYSE: LUV ) shed as much as 7%.

================

The AMR pilots are headed for the door retiring in numbers much larger than expected in an attempt to protect their pension plans as the "bankruptcy" word fills the air.

So maybe Rahm picked up his Obama Bat-Phone to request yet another taxpayer funded bailout huh?

I believe the memories of 1968 helped cool protester passions as well. No one wanted to be the one "causing disorder" to misquote old man Daley. I know the WTO had a lot of outside agency helped. The ISP was training up at a local NG facility. I'll pass on the OT if they offer it. I was in enough angry crowds in Iraq. If they did they would hire another 2,000 officers that we're short, plain and simple. no sugar coating here. 1 officer seriously hurt or killed is 1 too many.

PS can we this GNATO instead of G8 and NATO.

This is ridiculous and if the F.O.P. tells us to bend over and take it they are cowards. We need tp DEMAND a new contract in place before this begins.

When the shit hits the fan and things get way out of control, those #1 Grade A Super

Go home and get your shinebox if you want to make a few extra bucks that week.

Something will be dangled in front of P.O.s as an incentive to work harder during this. Like the formation of a new unit or you get to work tac. And all the sheep will run and volunteer to work whatver hours or the length of tour for straight time or somethingthe less than what thethis contract requiresin in order to be in the new unit.

I write this out of love of this city and respect for those I work with. The decision by ONE very little, scheming calculating man to invite chaos, destruction and a certain long term stigma to OUR city is disgusting. There is no upside to this, especially at a time that our country and city are broke, unneccasary waste of the TAXPAYERS dollars is reckless and a selfish attempt to garner a world attention for ONE person. The lack of proper protection needs to be highlighted for the who, what and why this is being allowed. I feel like HE is INVITING Hurricane Katrina into OUR city for a photo Op.

Do you honestly think the city is going to let the ILEAS people launch CN gas into crowds on the mag mile or the financial district?

Do you have any idea what gas will do to the property? Big buck $$$ property?

After the smoke (gas) clears, any offices, stores, luxary apartments in the gas cone will be contaminated. Carpeting, drapes, clothing, foodstuffs, furnaces will have to be replaced or thrown out. You can't wash this shit out of the fabric much less the supply and return ducts on your HVAC.

Depending on how much gas will be deployed (and I am guessing it will be a lot based on what I saw in the videos from Europe) there will be millions of dollars worth of damage.

And who do you think will be paying? The city of course.

Then, there was IPRA out there taping video of our suburban brothers fighting with those assholes on election eve; and then trying to jam the coppers that came to help us!?!?!?!

You can't and I can't make this shit up. Just impossible.

Terrorist Attacks on London Fail to Stop G8 Climate Talks

LONDON, UK, July 7, 2005 (ENS) - A string of bombings in Central London at the height of rush hour this morning have claimed the lives of at least 37 people and injured some 700 others. Police have mounted a massive search for the perpetrators.

Transport officials now confirm that there were four explosions on London's transport network this morning, three on the London Underground and one on a London bus. Earlier, Scotland Yard had said six incidents occurred on tube trains and buses.

The worst day in the history of the London Underground caused the entire system to be shut down, and it will not be reopened until Friday morning at the earliest. Explosions occurred at the Aldgate, Russell Square and Edgware Road stations and on a Route 30 bus at Woburn Place. Panicked passengers were trapped in smoke filled trains for up to 20 minutes.

As a former Apache/Cobra pilot the ideal thing to have would be 2 of this gunships, just to fly overhead and near, the sounds of the rotor blades, and of course they need to be fully equipped in case of trouble. Google the movie "Blue Thunder," not a real chopper but a real scenario where it could be used! The fear that would come over the idiots who would start shit would be overwhelming, and with the sensitive vision capabilities if a jagoff decided he was going to throw a gas bomb at police you could surgically remove him/her immediately. But then again you live in rahm land, and with all the libs like quinn, durbin and the rest it would never be allowed!

wrt: Well the city is probably sitting on that cash hoard of $54 million dollars from the Fed. saying mine-mine-mine, it's all mine."

The City promised transparency where exactly the money is spent. They promised the usual "training" b.s. I predict a 5 minute training video, produced with CPD actors of course and that will be it.

10/03/2011 09:07:00 AM
=================

Promises, promises...

see when they say transparent what they mean is: " now you see it -- not you don't" **poof* it's transparent -- gone!!

I'm of the opinions that we'll see well over $54 million dollars in civil rights lawsuits however I'm cynical like that.

Maybe what we need to do is get our own video on TV to tell our side of the story. They would be afraid of being scooped by another network if it was any good.
