Send the Citywide Response Unit (UPDATED)

Oh wait, we don't have a mobile force of 150 officers we can throw into a volatile situation at a moment's notice:
  • At least five people were shot Wednesdsay night outside the Altgeld Gardens housing complex on the city's Far South Side, authorities said.

The shooting happened about 9:30 p.m. Near East 130th Street and South Indiana Avenue.

Three of the victims were being attended to on the scene as of about 10:30 p.m. by Chicago Fire Department personnel. At least one of those victims were unresponsive, a Fire Department spokesman said.
We guess this will be exhibit #2 for the ACLU lawsuit.

UPDATE: Four dead and to deal with the carnage and resulting RAP, two cars were stripped from all of the other Districts in Area 2. Needless to say, this lad to an Area-wide RAP (radio assignments pending). Rumor has it Rahm is looking at ticketing around Senator "reverend" Meeks' mega-church to make up the overtime bill.

4 dead and 2 critical. I love it!!!!! And Rahm and McStupid can go kiss our ass if they think we give a shit! Yup we 'll show up and secure the crime scene, yup we'll write the paper and even make it look pretty. But we DON'T give a flying FUCK if these animals kill each other. Rahm and McStupid claim the city is safe but they seem to understand that WE control the crime out here. Fuck it, you want to take away our pension, let crime run wild. You want to take money away from my kids plate, fuck it let crime run wild. Keep up the good work Rahm and McStupid! You guys are doing a great job handling morale. You dumb fucks!

Yes..see that!! I knew it. The ACLU was right!

We can mobilize all kinds of people to write curfew violation with peaceful protestors however when the real shit comes down and it's in the hood then we got nothing!

This cities priorities are all screwed up. I think they must be busy counting campaign contributions or something maybe?

Send the Citywide Response Unit

=========================

The new CRU will fall under Streets and Sans department we think. They have all the equipment necessary to handle situations just like this. Brooms, shovels, hoses, bleach, garbage trucks and those big plastic storage bags..all that's missing is the red tape.

News update says that 4 of the 5 are dead. But not a problem. Now if we had 5 people shot on North Michigan Aveneue then the alarm bells would go off at McGruff's house. As long as this carnage goes on in the Ghetto who the fuck cares. Racoon Eyes could care less. He is way too busy finding new ways cornholing the folks still left in the city limits with money to pay taxes. I am sure the politicians would prefer that there would have been 5 individual shootings in five different places in shit neighborhoods. That would keep the media off the real news going on around town.

We really need a citywide unit for these types of incidents. Taking beat cars from other districts can work, however you are just depleting another unit. How about 100 officers? Only four per district.

Progress report on the closing of lock-ups. Grade "F" Prisoners going to 3 different buildings, one wagon, SVU making transporting officers wait until lock-up decides to fingerprint and photo, and parents are there. Manpower already dangerously low.Hospital transports, back and forth, holding facility won't take them, makes Distrtict come and get them (Reasonable though under present manpower shortages, critically negative for officer safety) It is obvious no input from Patrol was sought for this most foolish decision to "put a sworn officer back on the street while downing six officers on prisoner transports" Efficiency study, where are you?

SCC your lying about this story. This can't be true because McGoofy says crime is down so low we are in negative numbers. Rahm agrees that all is well and safe. So relax, drink so more kool aid, wait for your taxes to go up and the city to go to shit. All is well, my friend.

don't know what 005 has, but there's another south side district that puts out, on average, 20-25 two man units on midnights.....a bow to the almighty god of law enforcement, McGruff....

It really does not matter if you are a fan or not a fan of specialized units like TRU or MSF, but the bottom line is that they would have responded, helped out and taken jobs or protected the crime scene freeing up district units. We don't have this anymore, and I can't wait for Garry to get on TV and say the Homicides are down, they lied last weekennd when they said only 2 dead, I counted 5, someone is Fudging the numbers.

Car 42 wanted two cars from 006, 004 and one from 022 to assist 005. 500 told them to clear the RAP and 005's cars were to be down on the scene of the shooting. Three crime scenes, more than two weapons recovered, three hospital details and four dead.

I work in 003 and saw the story on chicago breaking news and checked pdt for unit summary and saw units from other districts there helping. Nothing was said over the air about cars going over there to help out. We would've been more than willing to help out because 005 was swamped with this mess.

Did nothing? You could have made a traffic stop? That just shows what kind of police officer you are. But thanks for helping out your fellow officers kid.

Don't forget that all the third watch cars were kept on duty and not allowed to check off until about 0400 or later.

Biggest problem, and remember this one when you patronize your favorite local Arab store, about 40family or friends show up at the scene. They are upset because they cannot enter the crime scene. They start video taping officers on the scene and spitting at both their camera's and the ground stating that is what they think of the Chicago Police.

Just a little tid-bit to remember when your looking for your next soda or snack in your favorite ghetto......

Dude obviously people like you don't give a fuck about this because this happened in the "hood" but out of all the deceased, one was the owner of the store, another was the security guard who fired back at the assholes that were shooting in the store and its possible that one of dead was an offender. So be glad that at least one of the offenders is dead cuz I doubt that everyone that died in this incident were bad people just at the wrong place at the wrong time. But we know you could care less about people in the "hood" because ALLl of them aren't worth shit in your eyes. That's jacked up. I wonder if you're a cop...because you do know that you work with people that live in some of these so-called "hoods". Express your sentiments of how you really feel to them. Nahhh, you wouldn't dare.

The store owner that sells dope???? No not a loss at all. I'm sure you knew that because after all you are a police officer right? And yeah everybody knows I don't give a fuck when jag offs die and neither do coppers who live in the "hood." They applaud it just as much as the next guy. Obviously you are involved in some militant 005 district head up your own ass set. Get over it, you'll find another place to bring home .25 chip bags to the family. Another place where they sell dope underneath your own nose, and you are either too stupid or too corrupt to notice.
