Bloody Friday

  • At least 12 people were wounded by gunfire in 11 separate incidents since about 8 p.m. Friday night on the city's South and West sides, according to Chicago police.

And Saturday isn't looking much better:

And the truly warm weather starts up early next week.

the bosses are already patting themselves in fillmore for their 'success' with no one being shot in the little boxes they are making the po's stay in. no shit!! most criminals wont shoot someone or rob someone while the police are sitting right in front of theyre faces! there aint enough cops to sit one or two on every block and the warm weather will put the breaks on their little ass grabbing love fest. hope you clowns crash and burn after selling out everyone below you

Wow, I guess this new "zone" plan is really working. When you force officers to stay in one very specific area, crimejust moves to a different area. But hey, I just work here. What the hell do I know?

If I pound my chest and take credit for no shootings in a 24 hour period, should I also take credit for the 24 hours of shooting violence that took place Friday and Saturday? Or, maybe, just maybe, I don't have a clue. But then again. The rooster crows and the sun rises, so it must be that the rooster is the reason the sun comes up. I should just keep my mouth shut. "Kelly, do you need help?"

But meanwhile, the tax payers, the ONES WHO PAY THE FUCKING BILLS IN THIS TOWN, COUNTY AND STATE, GET FUCKED out of city services and true protection because the animal down south and west can't conform to normal, civilized behavior.

Let them kill each other, get them all off the payroll. FUCKEM.

The sales and excise taxes the animal pays on junk food and alcohol don't even come close to paying for themselves.

We have makers and takers in this country, too many takers who get to vote.

If you are on any form of welfare, you shouldn't be able to vote, it is a conflict of interest.

Okay look at the possibility that one person was shot and it possibly ricochet off eleven others. Always look at your cup half full rather than half empty.

Occupy Oakland is turning real ugly. City Hall taken over and flags burned. Many arrests as crowd turns ugly at many locations. Get ready for a summer, not just a week, of violent protesting. This will be international news. Skyrocketing murder rate, downtown wildings, battle in the streets at G8, businesses and schools being forced to close due to long term anarchy. Instead of positive press, nobody will want to come to Chicago. Nice job Rahm. I know you'll try to pin it on us. However you and you alone will own this one! Local politico will distance themselves from you. This should put an end to your presidential aspirations.

Right to Carry Town Hall Meeting
Monday, Feb.20, 2012
7:00-9:00 pm

Logan Square Auditorium
2539 North Kedzie Blvd # 15
Chicago, IL 60647

We have been working for well over a year to arrange a Right to Carry town hall meeting in this area of the city.
It has finally come together and we will need a lot of help getting the word out about this meeting.
A flier will be available soon and we will need volunteers to help post them throughout the neighborhood and community!!

I agree, this summer is likely to be something like we've never seen. The powers that be better pray that it stays bitter cold well into June. Watch out for each other and enjoy watching all these moron politicos point the finger at each other as the City burns. Of course Im sure it will be all our fault anyway.

Does anyone have info on what all the gunshots in Morgan Park were about early this morning? I woke up the sound of MANY gunshots about 5:00 a.m. Started counting - all the way to 25. And it sounded like a big gun, not fireworks.

Posted on EveryBlock to see if other folks heard it. Got several responses - from locations near Ridge Park, to 111th Pl near I-57 to 111st St. near Kedzie, all reporting that they heard MANY shots from a big gun. Some people said they heard shots around 3:00 to 3:30 a.m. AND around 5:00 a.m. WTF?!?!

Any idea what was going down in 022 this a.m.? We'd be grateful to know whatever you can share.
