Just a Dozen
- Twelve people, including a 14-year-old boy, were wounded by gunfire across the city Friday night and Saturday morning.
So from Friday last week to Friday this week, well over 100 shot. Crime is down and pilgrims are running wild.

nothing like a bunch of shootings to get the bosses worked up right before the waste of chicago--- send a bunch of police downtown to babysit the taste while the neighborhoods go up for grabs--- once again a lack of adequate manpower across the board--- the writing on the side of the car says we serve and protect--- it should say we serve and protect after a 30 minute delay....
Numbers are not correct. Several shootings I have been at were not in the media's count the last week. I guess they are fixing their "perception problem"
Based upon the obvious dangerous lack of manpower and backlogs,
I believe the squad car logo should merely read...

01010 Anonymous is correct. I was at a shooting of a 20 year old man in the 1000 block of North Avers around 0830 Saturday morning, and that never made the news.
We sure do see a decrease in the increase when the media stops doing their job.

..due to cars being held down on a call like "Check the well-being. Parent say her son be clownin'. Then phone was hung up."
-- actual call on backlogged summer night, 015, goes on all the time.
New Year's Eve, send car "Check well being of person drinking in such-and-such tavern."
