The worst part of a copper getting screwed over is the fact that most of the time the screwing comes from within usually by a copper that never was the real working police. Would love to see a complimentary history on some of our illustrious IAD folks. I bet it would be quite hilarious .

Was on 011 tact in the early 90's. Bulls riot 3 was approaching. As we're leaving night before, Tact lt warns us "No time off for whatever reason tomorrow." The next day before work, I go jogging. At the very end of the run, I step on a rock & fractured my ankle. Had no choice but to hit the medical. The next day, a sgt comes to my home for a medical check. He sees the cast on my ankle. Shakes his head, then says "What kind of asshole do you work for?" Told me the lt expressly requested he verify my injury. As though I'd fake a fuckin fractured ankle. After that, I saw the lt in a different way. Wasn't long before I was no longer on the tact team.

Oh, be a grown-up. Every former POTUS has protection 24/7. That kind of full-time coverage would be intrusive and impossible to maintain in an urban, neighborhood-type situation.
They don't have a 'ranch', or a 'compound', or a 'retreat', like so many other past presidents and they realize they can't just move back in and resume a relatively low-key lifestyle.
But you would obviously prefer they move back to Kenwood, so you can bitch about the extra security costs, the police details there and the unfairness and inconvenience of the whole situation.
Oh, be a grown-up. Every former POTUS has protection 24/7. That kind of full-time coverage would be intrusive and impossible to maintain in an urban, neighborhood-type situation.
