The attack happened at about 2:45 p.m. in the 100 block of Asbury Avenue.

Many years ago a honor roll student was shot at Douglas and Lawndale, victim hit seven times , thrown in ambulance , dead of course but, CFD wanted to look as if they tried to stablize him, needless to say but mama shows up, she yelling hang on in there Tyronne , victim was getting a lot of attention, so moma , all 450 pounds of sweaty fat falls out, in a puddle of three day stinky rain , water and flopping like a beach killer whale. We asked the paramedics for oxygen cause I couldn't catch my breath cause I was laughing so hard. What a terrific scene..

For you civilian readers: this was common, especially in Cabrini Green. The paramedics would have to pretend the Pookie was still alive and they'd rush the body past the "citizens", pretending to work on him.
If they didn't do that, those "citizens" would go crazy and fight with the paramedics and police. They throw anything they could from the upper floors and try to brain us with cans of food they got from churches, chairs, shit and piss, anything.
If we seem heartless sometimes,think about that situation. We are investigating their homicide, and their friends and family are trying to kill us with cans of food they got from a church's food drive.
I think the correct number of officers stripped is 6...not 4.

If they were giving out awards for that description, the person who posted this should get a gold medal. Totally true, and too freakin' funny.
One last thought, someone else posted that this is the dept. they wanted...so true. You can't run a police dept. like a private business and you can't cost-cut when it comes to public safety. This is the result.
...and they want to hire another $20 billion worth of Wellness Ladies with clipboards and snippy attitudes to interrogate exhausted working people about whether they did their pushups this week?
