SlumTimes had a big article about McParisHilton's "hot people" initiative. Might actually make sense. Call it the broken clock syndrome. Bonus points for the mother of the target's "why you hasslin' my son" bullshit. Lady, your son's in a gang. Be a parent FFS.

I arrested a young thief for grabbing a binder full of trading cards at a card store and running out. Then his brother chest thumped a PO as his lil' bro' was being arrested and he got charged with batt to a PO and then the wonderful mom came in and started ranting that the poleeese set up her 'lil darlings cuz we are racist liars. they live in the 2nd district and the kids come up to Montrose & Damen to steal and for us to make shit up about her two scumbag fucking savage sons. Fucking people are unreal. Useless oxygen thieves.

As a kid I remember waking up on Saturday mornings and waiting for the cartoons to come on. I would sneak into the living room in my P.J.s and turn on the black and white Philco TV in the corner.
The living room was the only room in the house where we had a TV.
There was that old faithful test pattern glairing back at me. No infomercials, no all night news, just the test pattern.
Maybe I would get some cereal and milk and bring it into the living room. A couple of cushions from the couch and I was set. Cartoons, Flash Gordon, Jungle Jim, Uncle Johnnie Coons, Two-Ton Baker and all the rest.
Sometimes I fell asleep, on the cushions, but about six o'clock....
It came.
