Can You Spare a Stamp?

  • Special Request for Christmas Cards

A friend of mine that is a life-saving crew member in Bedford County emailed me a request and asked for our help within the State Police family.

There is a 5 year old boy from Rustburg, Virginia that is dying of terminal cancer and he might not live to see Christmas, His special request is to receive Christmas cards from police officers, firefighters and EMS personnel.

I would appreciate if you could take a few minutes our of your busy schedule and grant Nathan's wish by sending him a card.

Cards can be mailed to :

    Nathan Norman
    81 Dunivan Drive
    Rustburg, Virgina 24588
There are links at the Snopes.com page.  If you have a spare moment and a stamp, we're sure he'd like to get a few cards from Chicago.

UPDATE: Some asshole or assholes are claiming Nathan passed away two years ago.  His grandmother just posted on his page 6 hours ago that Nathan is continuing treatments at this time.  So we can only conclude that you must be a real winner during the holidays.  What we wish upon you and your ilk will remain unspoken for the time being.

To those of you more in the Christmas spirit, continue please.

After Nathan's card, go right to St. Jude's website. He's not the only child that needs our help and support.

I bought a large card and had everyone from the district sign it. We sent it a few days ago. I called a Cop from Virginia to verify this, and it is verified! The street address is DUNIVAN, not durivan.

Lets overwhelm Nathan with Christmas cards! I couldn't think of a simpler gesture to put a smile on a child's face. ESPECIALLY at Christmas.
Lets show him the men & women of the CPD have a soft spot for children.
GOD bless you Nathan....

When people ask "why did God allow this to happen?" I respond,an angel suffers to see how the good of others CAN come out. You have all proven my point.
