Hey Look - A Replaced Judge

  • A DuPage County judge has been tapped to preside over a politically delicate battery case against Cook County Circuit Court Judge Cynthia Brim, who was arrested earlier this year at the downtown Daley Center court complex after allegedly shoving a sheriff’s deputy and throwing a set of keys near a security checkpoint.

Already two Cook County judges have recused themselves from the Chicago case, and Cook County Chief Judge Evans asked the Illinois Supreme Court for permission to appoint an out-of-county judge to the case — a request that was granted Nov. 15th. So during a brief hearing on the misdemeanor charge Wednesday in the Daley Center, Cook County Judge E. Kenneth Wright Jr., who presides over the court’s first municipal district where the misdemeanor case is being handled, told Brim, her attorney and an assistant state’s attorney that “Judge Liam Brennan from DuPage County is going to hear this case.”
Yet, in one of the most politically charged manslaughter cases in history, a case that has dragged for over 8 years and is marked by political shenanigans of the highest order, Evans is still going to let a Daley-connected judge preside over a Daley-connected crime.

Only in Cook County, Chicago, Illinois.

Tim Evans is doing this because they simply want Brim to go away. Shes nuts and she wont resign. Evans could easily have requested a judge from outside cook county to preside over Vanecko case, he didn't because the powers that be dont want to lose control of this case.

Anita Alvarez was on WLS Wolf & Proft yesterday morning and said essentially that her office's failure to charge Vanecko was the fault of Koschman's mother and the police department for not pushing for it. I kid you fucking not....she blamed the police and the mother of the victim. Un- fucking-fucking- believable!

They destroyed all the evidence, except the dead man. I don't think this will be much of a trial unless they get someone to talk.
The ruleing elite is not subject to the laws they make to control us peasants.

Don't get excited, he is a liberal judge. He is as soft as warm pigeon shit. Not to mention, DuPage is just as corrupt as Cook.

This state is run like a third world banana republic. But that's what you get when the majority of voters are third world thinkers and despise freedom.

I hope she gets the max from the DuPage Co. Judge.

There are some judges in Chicago who should have never been put in as judges.

Next case.

Well gosh you think the lawyer running the case for the poor Mother who lost her son would jump all over this and ask the Judge to step down right ?

And if he doesn't how will Mr. Webb explain it ?

I (not a cop) moved to DuPage 10 years ago. A liberal judge here thinks the guillotine is too easy. Check the news; Section 8 rats get double digit time. She'll probably get some.

Now if we can only get that wall.

This state reminds me of stories from biblical times. Evil rulers, impossible court systems, devious families controlling cities...........

The only way to make it some-what above board is to get a judge from a southern illinois county that has NO affiliation with anything chicago...

Can't be AS corrupt as Cook--Nothing is. However, the cronys who run things here in Dupage are law and order Republicans--not beholden to a handout constituency.

Think again....you should spend time in DuPage court, this judge lets many DUIs walk because he feels sorry for them. He once ruled guilty on a DUI then when the defense said they thought he was going to be found not guilty and cried about it, he reversed his decision and called for another trial. Brimm walks, 100%

So Anita, Mrs. K should have called your office to ask Felony Review to charge the Vanecko guy and you would have done so? Was Mrs. K just supposed to pick up the phone and ask YOU to lodge a Felony complaint under the murder statutes? Anita could you please reveal the names and dates that your your ASA's spoke in person to Mrs. Koschman about her son's death? Hello Anita? Is anybody there?

Why would you think any of these judges or prosecutors are legit? Blago -- wiretap-- taken down to protect whomever-- Blago trial-- wiretap evidence not even released to his attorneys.
Blago deserved what he got but if the pillar of justice performs this way- what do you expect from some local prosecutor/judge? It is not legit folks, just a little clue.
