I hope everybody's okay. When the media reports injuries as 'non life-threatening', people assume that means everything is fine. It doesn't.
    Wishing you a FULL recovery!!!

Check out who the arresting officers were on the arrest report and everybody from 008 will understand why the absolute bare minimum was done and this guy was only charged with misdemeanors. What a disgrace.

If his DL was suspened for a prior DUI, either the new DUI or DWLS would be a felony right ???

NOT to be considered as criticism, just information...

On average we lose a police officer in 'line-of-duty' deaths every 53 hours in our nation.
For well over two decades the Number 1 cause of death is 'traffic related.'
Firearms normally follow behind traffic related deaths which are all lumped together, i.e. vehicle crashes, stuck by vehicle while on foot, motorcycle, train etc.
While 2012 had more firearm deaths, traffic related cause was just two behind and thus far in 2013, traffic related deaths follow behind firearms by just one fatality.
My point is just to remind our brothers and sisters that you are just as likely, or perhaps even more at risk to be injured/killed in a vehicle/traffic incident as you would be encountering an armed subject during your tour.
Please use caution in driving and everyday interaction in this arena as well.
I will continue to pray for the overall safety of my fellow first responders that each and every one of you make it home safe everyday.
