St. Baldricks Fast Approaching

Warm weather is right around the corner, so why not get that summer cut a little early?
  • March 22nd, just four weeks from Friday and coming up fast but there's still time to sign up for St. Baldrick's 2013. So far 95 brave men and women have signed up to have their hair drastically cut or entirely shaved off in support of kids facing cancer and there's still time for you to join us.

We will be at the Academy, 022, and 025 on Friday, March 22nd from 0700 - 1500 hours. Fundraising is easy once people know why you are accepting this memorable undertaking and there is no minimum amount required, except for an expectation that you raise at least $50 to get a t-shirt.

Just go to St. Baldrick's website, www.stbaldricks.org and under search type in Chicago Police and pick your location. If you have any questions please contact Bill O’Reilly for the Academy event, (chromedome1269@sbcglobal.net), Bill Murphy for the 022 event, (50murf@comcast.net) or Anne Zamzow for the 025 event, (anne.zamzow@chicagopolice.org).

Thanks in advance for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you at one of the events this year.
Best of luck to all participants.

If you're like me and Mother Nature beat St. Baldricks to the demise of the follicles, I suggest going to the site and making a contribution on their 'secured' site.
When you get to the part requesting name of event, team, individual etc., you wish to donate on behalf of, enter 'Chicago Police.'
It will then give you an opportunity to indicate a specific unit, area etc. (i.e. Area North, South, Training Division etc.)participating.

God Bless those that get involved in any way, especially those that are personally afflicted.

HOT NEWS FROM SPRINGFIELD

The Illinois House just voted:

After brief debate, the House voted 66 to 2 to reject a proposal to terminate cost-of-living increases for retired workers. It voted 62 to 5 against suspending cost-of-living increases until the state pension systems are 80 percent funded.

Madigan's proposal to raise the retirement age to 67 for pension eligibility failed 66 to 1 and a proposal that workers contribute 5 percent more to the cost of their pensions failed 61 to 3.

See more at: http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/politics/sns-rt-us-usa-illinois-pensions-votebre91r1ez-20130228,0,7092573.story#sthash.LOnIpkQZ.dpuf

HEY JIMMY ADE how does it feel to be all by yourself on the gang plank? How does it feel to get used by Rahm?

As I predicted Mike Madigan will not screw organized labor as long as his daughter has a chance to run for Governor. After she wins we will be in federal court. But there was no reason to start the process until it must be done. The CPSA tried to sellout every retired Sergeant and Police officer's COLA. Thanks Jimmy boy we are more united than before thanks to you!

It does, it was a misprint of the E-mail.

All three events go unti 1700 hours, or 5PM.

I know that the south side event has gone longer in the past few years becasue of all the tact teams coming in late.
