Cops Injured in Crash
- Two officers were injured tonight in a crash on the Far North Side in the city's Rogers Park neighborhood.
Preliminary reports said a police vehicle was responding to a call in the area of Morse Avenue and Sheridan Road when the crash occurred, according to Fire Media information.
Two officers were taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston where their condition has been stabilized, according to fire officials.
Speedy recovery wished to both Officers.

I was at the academy today for some training. I noticed that the female staff bathroom was going through some heavy remodeling on the first floor. I talked to several of the academy staff and they said the remodeling was for a new special recruit coming to the academy in the next recruit class. This new recruit requires a separate bathroom for privacy. Imagine a new shower and bathroom for one recruit. The female instructors seem to be very upset loosing their bathroom. Sounded like interesting times at the academy. What is a special recruit?

Remember going through Academy in 1981. Instructors back in my academy days worked our fucking asses off and taught us well. If you were a p---y then get out. April, May and June each had classes of over 120 Recruits and we bumped into each other going from classes in law etc, the range, PT-physical training-then after 16 wks-not counting Chicagofest at Navy Pier-we went to Districts to learn how to be the POLICE. A few of these blessed few went to 008 or 016 or 022 right outta the shoe.These "select" few would make Sgt Lt Capt and Commdr. Saw that shit from DAY 1. Now 59 Recruits graduated and walking a foot post. These kids are more naive than our PPOs that went to 008, 016 and 022. But sure most will make rank. But Malloy is gone

Off duty police are expensive. You can have two security officers for almost the same price of one off duty policeman. This means more manpower keeping your property or venue safe for less money.
Thoughts & prayers for the injured officers. Hope they make a complete recovery.

Special bathroom for a special recruit? Give me a special f@cking break. We need computers that work, squads with less than 150,000 miles, copiers and faxes that work, even f$ckin xerox paper. How about some extra chairs for dets to sit on? After closing two det areas, everyone is packed like sardines. Terrific working environment.

Our Department already has 4 Transgender Officers, and they do a great job. Also, all they wanted to do was be the Police. So' I am not buying that story about "special recruit". Maybe an exempt members wants their own bathroom!
