Meeks Prays for Death
- In the past year, Chicago has attracted significant national attention for its high murder rate and widespread violence.
Now Chicago police and some community leaders say they may be winning the battle against violence.
The murder rate in the city has now dropped to its lowest level since 1950s.
That's a lie, as we pointed out early yesterday. But then they go and quote the so-called "reverend" Meeks:
- Salem Baptist Church's Reverend James Meeks notes that God answered his recorded prayer in early February that the month's homicide total would not exceed fourteen and it did not.
"Nobody had ever asked God for a specific number to see what He could do," Meeks said.
Would the "reverend" like to tell the class how he came up with the number 14? And how did he implore God to pick the 14 unlucky souls who would end up on the wrong end of the Lord? Was it only white people he asked God to have murdered? Asians? How about grandfathers gunned down by their grandson with a stolen gun? Or just 20 time losers with records as long as our arm?
Please "reverend," how did you come up with God's Dead Pool? And were you playing this game when Hadiya got killed? Was she on your "let's not have January murders exceed 50" list? And what did that 6-month-old baby do to deserve death?

In fact, the gun grabbers are hoping for some supreme court appointments by the annoited one so the 2nd amendment can be redefined and they are also hoping for a united Nations ban on private ownership of firearms world wide. Leftist-run states are in a reverse arms race to see who can grab guns from law-abiding citizens the fastest.

Justice: A murdered Chicago teen's mother attends the president's speech on gun control, not knowing federal gun-crime prosecutions have in fact dropped on his watch — with the Windy City bringing up the rear.
Cleopatra Cowley-Pendleton, the mother of murdered 15-year-old Chicago teen Hadiya Pendleton, was one of 20 mothers who lost children to criminal violence who were at the White House last Thursday to hear President Obama speak once again on the need for gun control.
Obama met with her and some of the others in a small group before his formal remarks and told them "how serious this issue really is and something needs to be done about it," she said.
But President Obama did not tell this group that Syracuse University's Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC) shows that the Northern Illinois district ranked 90th out of 90 in prosecutions of federal weapons crimes per capita.
David Burnham, co-director of TRAC, states their analysis says that according to case-by-case U.S. Justice Department information obtained under the Freedom of Information Act, there were 52 federal gun prosecutions in Illinois North (Chicago) in 2012, or 5.52 per million in population.

I'm not a member of his church and will probably never be but I know from personal experience his church eats the costs on plenty of programs/large scale events they put on for other people people...including non members. I don't care for his politics but the man built that church and I don't know of any church that size that is that hands on. Again, this is from personal experience I speak as a non member. I didn't know (or care) till I married a former member whose family still goes there. That church has played a big role and keeping my marriage going and growing..and I do attend another church.
