Numbers Climbing
- Four men were killed and at least 16 people wounded in shootings across the city since Friday night.
There was also an infant smothered to death and a dead body with stab wounds pulled from a local body of water. The weekdays leading up to the weekend weren't anything to be proud of either.

Well, in their "wisdom" (LOL!), the City Council of Chicago has decided to proclaim today, "Harold Washington Day" in Chicago.
Who else thinks it is absolutely hilarious that they would pick today, of all days, to honor that convicted felon?
Oh, that's right. For all those who were not aware or may have forgotten, Harold Washington had a FELONY record for TAX EVASION when he ran for Mayor...

Homicides down 37 percent from this April compared to last year... Down 42 percent on the entire year compared to last. Shootings for the year are down about 39 percent. Guess VRI works after all....
The biggest hoot IMHO about mayor Harold Washington not paying his taxes was his excuse: "I forgot".

Yeah, just ignore the fact that LAST year's average temperature in April was 56 degrees and THIS year's avrage is 36 degrees.

It's not that VRI works it's having more police on the streets. Something we have been screaming about for years and the city and Jersey Shore refused to acknowledge
