Graffiti Vandal Charged
- A 19-year-old man who police believe was writing graffiti was found unconscious and apparently electrocuted between an electrical transformer, a chain link fence and a telephone pole, authorities said.
He was alive when authorities discovered him in the 1800 block of West Montrose Avenue but died at Advocate Illinois Masonic a short time later, authorities said. He was pronounced dead at 3:56 a.m.
Police said the man may have been tagging because the transformer where he was found was defaced. Firefighters and paramedics brought him down with a ladder, police said.
The man, who the Cook County medical examiner's office has not identified, has been arrested seven times with criminal defacement of property or posession of paint or markers with an intent to deface property, police said.
Pardon our laughter, but you know that you're all smiling out there, too.

I hope you are happy when one of these "street artists" use your garage or building wall for their next project.

I think your definition of "person" might be somewhat different than mine. Our sense of joy isn't so much at someone's death, but more the pure, unsullied elation that comes from there being one less asshole in this world.

I'm not the original poster, but...what does being liberal (or conservative, for that matter) have to do with the fact that not everyone thinks it appropriate to celebrate the death of a young person under these circumstances? And when one of these "street artists" tagged my shit, I still didn't think it was worth dying over (although I was furious). But you are probably one of those jerks on the job who think fart jokes are hilarious, and will die six months after you retire because you are so angry at the world that you've totally lost perspective.

These criminals destroy property and contribute to the degradation of neighborhoods. You call kids putting their names on someone else's property art? Hardly.
I have no sympathy for anyone that kills themselves while committing a criminal act. None at all. I only feel a sense of relief that they will no longer commit another criminal act.

This "artist" had a rap sheet of at least 7 arrests relating to vandalism of some sort or the other and a quick web search reveals a recent arrest for tagging in Jan., 2013.
His latest arrest was cardiac, which for a criminal is the best kind.
Is the classic "Pull my finger" a fart joke? I think that is hilarious.
