Hawks Pull Out a Game 7 Win

This was just about the best 7 game series we've ever had the pleasure of watching. Down 3 games to 1 and they win three straight.

I have often thought that nothing in sports is more exciting than a game 7 in the NHL that goes to overtime. Tonight just further proves that theory correct. Way to go boys!

It was the first time in franchise history that they came back from a 3-1 deficit to win a playoff series...and, it was the last time the Blackhawks will face the Red Wings in a playoff series. With next year's realignment, I will miss this rivalry.

They could barely beat a sloppy Detroit team. Kings will trounce the Hawks.

I just started being a Blackhawk fan yesterday. Does this mean that I am a lesser fan in your eyes? This whole status thing about who got in first or who is a bandwagon jumper boggles my mind. "I have seniority on you" Bwah ha ha. Dorks.

Is Mikita still at Center? Bobby Hull at Left Wing?
And is "Dollar Bill" Wirtz still an asshole?

Too bad they had to win the game twice. That penalty was bogus.

Coach Q better get his shit together for this round. Kings are a much better team. Haviland is not around to scapegoat for the shitty power play. Wonder who he's gonna blame this time. Hang in there and don't burnout guys.
LET'S GO BLACKHAWKS !!!!!!!!!

Hawks won that game twice. Same ref that did not call a penalty when Hosa got blasted and called all the penalties on Tazer last game. He should be reviewed!!

OK new fan, what will you be tomorrow? I watched the Blackhawks beat the Red Wings for the Stanley Cup in 1961. Go back to the martini bar moron.

Kings are going to trounce the Hawks? They just be the Sharks, who've never done a damn thing in the playoffs, in 7 games. They had to come back against the freaking Blues, who are nothing. Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

At least there still remains a job (or sport) where hard work and dedication still pays off.
Nice job men.

The last time these teams will meet. Sad end of the longest rivalry in NHL history. That being said, it was also the worst officiated series I've ever stomached.

Hawks won the game in regulation but the refs stop play for a periphery incident and wave off the goal. Horrible call! They also send Saad to the box for being run over and kicked in the head when he's down. Nice try but the Hawks were still able to prevail.

Now a tough series with the best goalie in the league. Let's go HAWKS!

To anyone who watched the National Anthem, that was one of our own on the ice in his military uniform. If you missed it, you can find it on the computer.
Made me proud to be an American and proud to call this officer my friend. Thanks for your many tours in the conflict overseas. You da man Billy!!
GOD bless our troops & GOD bless America!
Be safe

Who cares?

I'll care about what the Hawks are doing when they care about what I do. Or when they start following the game that is my pension future.

Otherwise, they mean nothing in the real world. Just more people that make wayyyyyyy to much coin to play for a living.

Get off their collective nuts, people. Most of them would drive right past a stranded woman trying to change a flat tire. They don't give a rats ass about you unless you're dumb enough to be buying an overpriced jersey with their name on it.

its just entertainment. hockey players are usually more friendlier than our other ''idols''. I REFUSE to pay $200+++ for a 300 level seat. and people that pay to stand are just stupid. sad, all the ''beautiful'' people will fill the stands. they no nothing about hockey and everything about being kool.image is everything in this town

Truly did not get that penalty that took away the goal - and the Red Wings guy took our player down. Ref must have been blind or paid off.

Regardless, a win in the end #HAWKS

A playoff series is different than a Cup Final.

To the poster who says he will care about the hawks when the hawks care about him-
They do! The hawks have on a few occasions attended fundraisers for our own who need help. And they don't show up to grandstand or show off, they shoot the shit like regular people. They also always provide signed merchandise for raffle/auction to benefit CPD. They do these things not to be the center of attention, but to help US.

The 1961 Stanley Cup was with the original six teams. Expansion did not come till 3 or 4 years later when the league doubled with Pittsburgh, Philly , Minnesota , St. Louis, Los Angeles and the California Golden Seals.

I have been a hawks fan for life--- remember the old chicago stadium, 8 bucks for second balcony and park your car by the jetts--- it was fun when the north stars came to town and dave manson and basil mcrae would beat on each other 3 or 4 times a game--- al secord flying up the left side and blasting a shot past the goalie, dougie wilson blasting that boomer shot from the point--- if the hawks can crack la's goalie they should win the series....
