Weather Matters - Notify G-Mac
An interesting graphic, backed up by interesting data:
- It turns out that, after crunching 5,000,000+ publicly available crime reports (spanning the time between 2001 and the current day), and comparing it to historical weather data, this conventional wisdom generally pans out.
The conventional wisdom being that as the temperature rises, so does crime. Or as we call it here in Chicago, "The Theory of Duh).
Amusingly, toward the right side of the graph, there is a set of high temperatures that makes criminals stay inside (96-100 degrees).

When the heat come, you bring your heat.
I like the graph, its simple and clear, the only thing that might be misleading is number of cimes for each temperature (can add a bar underneath). This needs to be present or weighted accordingly (i bet 96+ has fewer samples)
mcswill hates it when it warms up because his beer glass sweats too much and it prunes his baby bottom soft hands--- periods 6-9 are coming and we already have a good head start....
As temperatures rise, so do robbery attempts....Oak Park Weekly Journal
Even ultra liberal OP understands the relationship
Potential crime VICTIMS must stay inside during high heat periods too then, right? So, less victims + less criminals = less crime. The ultimate curvilinear relationship. Kind of like number of beers consumed and pool/dart ability. A few beers and you're a champ. A few too many and you're a chump.

Hmmm. So basically you guys are saying that Tom Skilling is responsible for the rise in crime? Someone should let Rham know. Also I thought the number of cops hired didn't make a difference? If that's the case why have cops? McCarthy you are such an ass.
I wonder if Rahm's crimes also follow a similar pattern?
