Word from numerous sources that under no circumstances will officers be photographed with the Stanley Cup should it appear in their Districts. It seems there's a video circulating (from a bar of all places) of an officer sipping a "beverage" from the Cup. A Complaint Register number has been obtained and suspension time is forthcoming.

How can they prove that it was alcohol in the cup? Is Lord Stanley a labeled alcoholic beverage like Bud Light or Old English? Are they gonna hunt down the person who poured the liquid into the cup moments prior to the cop sipping from it?

The female from 012 that got stripped is the dumbest ever. She shouldn't be on the job and clueless. Most of her career has been on callback. You would think she would of learned the first time. She's a big girl to suffer the consequences of her stupidity. A prime example, of people who keep getting taken care of.
Well, I hope that uniform adjustment was worth it and if this officer gets away with it, then we have to ask for the ban on drinking while on duty to be lifted and we all can drink while on duty and take pictures of it.

It's not about being a fan or not. It's about having common sense and being prudent. As a fan, it was great to see the celebration but, you can't act stupid. It's like when someone commits a murder, it's in the heat of the moment. You have to have control even when the rest of the world is breaking. That's what we are expected to do, our peace cannot and should not be broken. Because this is how it starts, then it moves from careless behavior to criminal behavior.

Who cares about McGoof? We have to be better period. This officer continues to always get into trouble. Too much liability for the department and those trying to clean up her messes every single time. Sometimes letting them go it's the best thing as they cannot handle the title. The lack of regard for others completely shows in the video. It puts her watch, her district in another scandal, her supervisors and her partner also in the trick bag. Lt Hearty and Sgt Ray Ramirez lied on a cr investigation and got away with it. IAD including the boss Juan Rivera,then 013 D/c Judy Martin covered for these 2 knuckleheads, copper took 3 days. Ramirez just got arrested now waiting for Hearty to get hers. So if good enough for them why not a PO. besides who says the PO drank from the cup it might have been a photo op.

I was there, right next to her as she got up and drank ALCOHOL FROM THE CUP. She was on duty in uniform with a loaded weapon. Whatever the higher ups decide, she deserves. Go to YouTube and search for Lord Stanley's reign on the roof. You'll see in video.
Not quite as bad as...say...posing with an airplane that just crushed little Joshua Woods to death, but still clearly against the orders. Totally agree. Should have said 'thanks but no thanks.' If true that she was out of district, WTF? I wouldn't have even THOUGHT of doing something like that when I was in patrol, and still wouldn't in the D unit.
Looks really classless. When you're in uniform you're not one of the masses, you're the police first. Out of uniform do what you want. No matter how you look at it, she lowered herself and the rest of us by what she did.
Who cares pension and healthcare all that matter. no special for month of july see how they handle the city. Everybody will figure out how shorthanded we are. I know it wont happen because god forbid a bunch of cops who talk a big game cant even sacrifice $500 to $700 clear for 1 month to prove a point.

.....but shooting out streetlights is ok because it's not on video....plus to me, it looked like that cup barely touched her lips--not like she was chugging from it or anything. Definitely some rule violations if what I've read is true, but firing? Seriously?

Our Tahoes have GPS, in car recording devices that even when not on are in fact recording simple conversations, like the female from 009 got fired after making a phone call that she thought was safe to do in the Tahoe. The bar has video, the bars around there also have video, there's several witness of her presence, the Tahoe GPS, the schedule has her on the sheets unless she was AWOL for the day, but she was not...So, before you go trying to get her in a bigger rule 14 understand that by her own doing, she is done. She was even bragging about the fact of what she did afterwards. We are not talking about someone who cares, she doesn't. She is better off telling the truth and hopefully, she survives it. Plus, she is careless to begin with, if they had not gotten her for this it would of been for something else, she doesn't know how to act.

This officer not only used to doing whatever she wants but, she has also is obstructing the IAD investigation by exchanging "something" for the video that the news had. If that's so, I either will be impressed with IAD or just think that this department is a sham. I hope IAD does a good investigation, gets a hold of her phone records and follow the money. If this officer in fact, is obstructing the IAD investigation, I hope they just get rid of her. This is not an outstanding officer by any means and others have been let go for less, send a strong message to those who are crossing lines to misuse their police powers and uniform.
I tell you what, if this officer doesn't get fired, a lot of officers will be drinking and coming drunk to work and they can use her case to get everything dropped against them or even their job back. We will be waiting the outcome and hope she clears so we can drink happily.
