Early Saturday, the main suspect is located in 011, shot multiple times:
- As family struggled to keep a boy from remembering the details of a shooting that claimed the life of his mother and 5-year-old brother Friday, a suspect lay in a hospital bed across the city with several gunshot wounds of his own.
- As the family struggled to come to terms with the slayings, police said the 18-year-old man suspected in the homicides was found bleeding from at least four gunshot wounds Friday night on the West Side.
The man shot Friday night is in critical condition at Mount Sinai Hospital. Someone walked up to him in the 2800 block of West Arthington Street in the Lawndale neighborhood about 9:10 p.m. and shot him in the buttocks, neck, leg and groin, police said.
Less than 20 hours passed between the homicides on Winchester and the Arthington Street shooting.
An e-mailer tells us that the guard detail has been removed from the suspect's hospital room. Oftentimes that means the suspect isn't a suspect anymore or, more likely, the hospital is going to pull the plug shortly. We're betting on door number two and the family is probably hoping the same. We also are betting that his own people (or folks) executed him after finding out who he killed and realizing the amount of attention that was coming their way.

Siani harvests the MOST organs in the area-- fact
The staff is just waiting for the family to sign over the organs w/o lead poisoning- guess

I really don't know how you guys stay sane. This is not the behavior of civilized people. This is stuff you expect to see in Somalia or Afghanistan, not here in the US.
Where's Rahm's press release and conference for the young 5 year-old?
Nothing?
Guess he only cries in front of the cameras.
NICE...
Sometimes, things do work out right.
Let's send a big shout-out to the person that saved the State of Illinois from having to pay for the four year prison sentence that he surely would have received from the tougher than nails Cook County judicial system.
Hmm
Killer found in 18 Hours can we hire these guys in the fugitive section
So can we call this a Sandifer killing? when the gang kills the offender to take heat off of the gang?
Yes. "Street Justice". But now you have to figure out who dropped the hammer on him. Nobody's talking but someone knows. it's going to be a tuffy but have to run down where and when they were doing what.
Reminds me of Yummy Sandifer,
Jesus Wept.
Chalkie grinned.
Hell is going to be paid an' Ol' Devil gonna get his due.
"...'Nother log on that there fire, boss?"
So their detectives are better than our detectives? I'm not surprised! One degree of separation beats 2 degree's, go figure....
Street Justice is the best ~ this asshole got what he deserved. I don't care if they NEVER find out who shot him!
Can we try this form of self policing on our domestic calls?
Why doesnt this happen in Naperville?????

Thanks for chiming in, Columbo!
Isn't this shooting an example of what McCarthy has been bragging about, in that he has created a new policing strategy whereby the police prevent this type of retaliation from happening? Obviously its not working very well.
From early on in the investigation it was a race to see who gets the bad guy first: the police or "them"
They win and in the long run so does society and the taxpayers.

Respectfully, you have no idea.
What man does to man, you have no idea.
I love a happy ending.
Just like in the "Old Wild West". Justice was swiftly and fairly!
He Gone! Good Riddance! Its actually cheaper on tax paying citizens not to have to support his scumbag ass in prison for the next 50 years!
Da Pelon
You don't just waste a pre-school graduate right after he got his diploma! The kid probably got shot before the graduation pictures came back.
Where is Father Flakey? He can't keep up with the marches of dead people as he promised.
This is a tragedy for the young mother and her 5 yr old. But a blessing for the community that the killer is gone. He will not be able to kill again (which was inevitable) and the tax payers don't spend money on giving that demon free housing, free medical, free education and more. Murder is murder no matter how it is phrased. But that lowlife murderer is not breathing anymore and unable to take lives and take money.
KARMA.... The universe has a way of balancing itself.
Speaking of "Yummy", I got some bullshit call on W 105th Pl or 106th st, anyways, in that area. While in the front room of the the house I asked why would they have a cheap oil painting on black velvet of "Yummy", a known multiple gang banging murderer hanging on the their wall? Turns out that I was in the Sandifer front room. Oops! My bad! About 20 seconds later, that call got a 19 P.
Or, they don't want the 48 hours to run out while never interviewing the arrestee.
There is no rush. He aint going anywhere.

Check out Craigslist, missed connections for the "official" CPD rules regarding proper behavior during the pride parade. Good read for a laugh.

Everyday Peter Nickeas from Chicago breaking news reports at least 10-20 people shot daily...If the cubs were smart they should move out of this shitty into the burbs...they should change that neighborhood name to,"wrigleyGHETTOville."
wow street justice saves family from reliving death of innocent child and tax payers a lot of money .

First by reading this blog, two is knowing that this blog actually 99% of the time reports more accurate than the media, and three, knowing that the facts in this blog is making rhamo and mcnonuts have the worst caseof the shots. Hahahahahahaha
Anyone hear about aggravated battery to off duty P. O. riding his bike at 16th and State? Hit in head with a bat multiple times, robbed and attacked.
Come on SCC, that's somebody's baby that killed that baby! Have a heart! Seriously though way to go street justice, swift and to the point!

Why? It's all good.
Way off topic....this afternoon Dave Bolland was traded by the Blackhawks to the Toronto Maple Leafs. As a Hawks fan it's sad to see the guy who scored the Stanly Cup winning goal head out of town.
More important to me though is the fact that we are losing a great friend. by "we" I mean the members of CPD. Dave was a great friend to coppers and he demonstrated that friendship and respect by making himself available to the Brotherhood For The Fallen. He came to every fundraiser that his schedule would allow, obtained gear and memorabilia for raffles and he stood at the fundraisers and posed for pictures with anyone who would ask, signed autographs and persuaded other Blackhawks to come to the fundraisers as well.
This is a guy that cared about police officers and helped make it possible for the group to go and offer condolences and comfort to the families of fallen officers nationwide.
Thanks Dave. You are a class act and I wish you good luck in Toronto, and wherever else life might take you. You will always have friends in Chicago.
LMAO, rest in peace you dirt bag.
good riddance dickhead

It matters, cause this time he did what should've been done, but guaranteed he's no saint just another piece of shit, who'd do your family in a heartbeat, with no remorse.
There's all kinds of justice in this world.

Somebody she was tricking off with while the other(s) were in and out of jail?
How did he miss the other shorty that was in the house?
His kid???
There's a fucked up back story to this.
Funny how the family instantly "threw a blanket" over the kid who sadly witnessed the crime.

"Killer found in 18 Hours can we hire these guys in the fugitive section"
Sorry, Lt. Bob won't let that happen. They can't do compstat reports. If you can't do a report, he don't want you.
I was at the crime scene. Sgt MF would not let any P.O.'s to enter the building which contained the crime scene. She even told a fellow Sgt not to walk into the building. Of course 3 minutes after not allowing P.O's into the building she is on the radio calling for more cars to secure the building. What a piece of work. Is there a spot in the department where they can hide her. Please
OT. 019 is going up for grabs tonight after the drunk Pride Parade. Area sat teams called out, district incident teams called out and area North tact teams called out in CD to go to a crowd control situation. What happened to high visibility as in the yellow vests, then they send coppers in black vest covers into a crowd.
Listening to the radio and it sounds like 1900 is ready to throw in the towel. In the middle of the chaos he goes back to 019 to "regroup". That's the way to lead from the front (office that is)
Where in the FUCK was Tio? Rhombus might want to find out before negotiating the next million dollar contract.

Have Tiny Dancer put on his TUTU and skip down to the scene and tell all the butterflies to behave. CRUD. Can't even express themselves without getting their leather chaps in a bunch! CRAP.
Is 1900 kenny?? He has zero, no, none, nada clue how to run things . He is not a leader...more of a buffoon. But keep him there because he has a law degree and a phone.call... Smart.... NOT

Here's where ya gotta get a grip. I think it's safe to tell a little humorous story from the "job vault" when, it's been seven years since I retired and eighteen years since he be expired. Ooh der Andy, I believes the Statue of Limousines has expatriated.
These assholes are promoted with no people skills, no supervisory or management experience, and the department doesn't provide any! So what do we expect!!!!

Not Kenney. Elias Voulgaris
It wasn't Kenny and 1900 did the best with what he had. Unfortunately the Gay community acts with impunity over there and have to be catered to or else they cry discrimination. They were out there till after 4 am trying to clear that shit up. Over 40 arrests. It's a parade that needs to go, but Tunney will pretend it went great and lambaste anyone who dares say otherwise. Also, you won't hear a peep about this in the media.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Let me bad mouth a guy who hasn't been there in how long and had nothing to do with this particular mess...
Eli Voulgaris worked for me as a new P.O. He is a good guy and a fine Copper. Anybody use that term anymore? Sometimes political shit gets in the way. I would work for HIM any day.

Naperville PD is busy with drunk drivers, break-ins, and stuff like that. There was a murder a year or two ago. They cover 3 counties: part of DuPage, part of Kane, and part of Will.
