Crime is Down!
- Four people who were shot were taken to hospitals in good condition tonight in the Uptown neighborhood on the North Side, police said.
The male victims were shot about 7:15 p.m. in the 4800 block of North Sheridan Road, according to police News Affairs [...] citing preliminary information.

There isn't a public program they can't wait to implement so as to do the usual behind -closed-doors, under-the-table corrupt dealings so as to bring in endless halfway houses, rehab centers, training sites, group homes, and section eight development which brings with it the additional traffic by way of liquor stores, the garbage, the cars with loud music, and the discovery by visitors of said newcomers of all the newfound easy prey on which to feed at the pond.
It's too late. It's over. There is no where left to live in this town that doesn't carry with it all the filthy baggage the mayor and those with his liberal beliefs simply think we should all just have to accept.
What will shake up Rahm to realize the city is in crisis, murder capital now Stanley Cup destroyer? Those bullet holes could have ended up striking you or me or 11 other persons. The sickness is growing yet The Great Pretender doesn't own up to the dangerous and scary problems.
Acknowledging these crimes is the First Step....

Yes, I have noticed the above too. I live by Irving Park and Central. My neighborhood has completely changed in five years and every summer I notice the following: more gang bangers riding around in groups of four or more, more assholes playing their loud shitty music, more groups of young Hispanic men just hanging out (like 5 to 10), more guys asking for money and being aggressive about it, more incidents of road rage, more loud arguments between strangers and finally sound of gun fire. What a shame that slowly even the decent neighborhoods are slowly turning shitty.

I went out to the bars at Clark and Addison last night. My God, I can't fathom how that bar district has gone ghetto in such a short period. I noticed it getting shitty slowly two years ago. Could not agree more! Formerly safe and secure neighborhoods are being invaded. If the thugs do not have Section 8 housing certificates, they travel into areas and loiter all day long looking for opportunities to commit crimes. Hats off to the police officers who apprehend the asses with crow bars and bolt cutters on a walking tour of the 20District earlier this week.

This is the man who was a suspect in the killing of the mom and son, The man was charged with three counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and possession of a controlled substance in December 2012. A month before that, he was charged with manufacturing or delivering heroin, unlawful use of a weapon and not possessing a firearm owner ID card.
It's not clear how all the charges were adjudicated, though records show he was sentenced to two years probation and community service for the December 2012 controlled substance arrest.

The Captain isn't doing anything differently in 020 than all the other chain of command everywhere else. Ask around, people are getting denied per orders from above the XO.
Follow the instructions posted by FOP when denied and if people bother to do as asked by our own union, it's usually reversed before you ever get any higher than the Commander.

Henry Penny is not the problem with the time due. JONES IS. He was the one who came up with the entire city module of limiting police with furlos included. Good thinking, but that 1 year retro check of about $500 will pay for about 1/3 of the 2% increase in your pension contribution that Sprigfield is going to drop on you, not to mention the increase in your health care contribution, higher deductibles and less benefits.
