If the media doesn't cover it, did it actually happen?
- The fireworks downtown were a complete disaster again tonight, but I'm sure we'll all hear about what a smashing success it was tomorrow morning. The terrorists were running around in large packs with multiple citizens relating that these cannibals were throwing M80's at the good citizens that were actually willing to spend their hard earned money in crime ridden Chicago. Not only were the groups throwing explosives at people, but it wouldn't be a weekend in downtown Chicago unless they conveniently renowned iphone and handbags from their owners. My favorite part of the evening was when a sergeant asked the officers stationed at the Oak Street Beach entrance at Michigan avenue to push back the group to prevent then from reaching the beach, the officer calmly stated "there's only me and one other officer, so I don't think that's happening." What a circus.
If it was a circus, more people would be laughing. Here, the clowns are in charge, not the ringmaster.

No... Nothing will be done until Rahm "monetizes" this ongoing crisis that he isn't letting go to waste.
Now would be a good time for one of Rahm's big money contributors to be on the receiving end of a really bad haircut at the hands of "the horde."

THOUSANDS of M/1 and F/1 yutes roving about Chicago Ave in the hours after the fireworks, creating their own special brand of mayhem. All the chaos appeared to be in perfect sync with the "plan" rolled out by The Command Staff. AND not enough trains or buses to move the plague back to the south and west sides...welcome to the new 4th o' July!
In the hours before and after the fireworks, there were scores of i-phone and property reallocations along the lakefront between Ohio and North Ave. A "lady" was stabbed at the Lincoln Park baseball fields. At Chicago and State, overheard an out-of-towner say "looks like the 47% is at it again..." game over -- Chicago lost this one BAD.
Maybe this was all a dry run for the upcoming Zimmerman not guilty verdict...
One caller said that citizens were laying on the ground trying to make it more difficult for their property to be taken from them.
The group of 30+ male blacks that were punching and pushing everybody down to take their phones was crazy. People were falling down to the ground in the fetal position to prevent these robberies from occurring. I would say the ratio out there was 1 PO to 5000 people.

Just heard a commotion outside my window and saw some people literally trying to kick in a car. The car had to go into ongoing traffic to get away. Two blocks from Navy Pier (McClurg/Ohio) and no CPD in sight. What in the world is wrong with Rahm and McCarthy? Who in the world would decide that the corners near Navy Pier do not need a heavy police presence tonight? Seriously, our Mayor and his police chief are completely incompetent.
And Rahm wonders why nobody will support the Taste of Chicago - who can possibly eat their way-overpriced small portions of food with these mutts walkin' by.

As long as the city keeps "inviting" these crowds with free entertainment, things will keep happening. You think these people are going to go right home to the ghetto after the fireworks? Yea, right. Let everyone (except the tourists, what little of them are left) stay home in their own neighborhoods and entertain themselves, whatever that may take.

There is hardly a police officer in any of the top command positions. Not one of them has worked the street as a blue shirt beyond a couple of years. They are almost all clueless about coming up with the appropriate strategies to protect innocent civilians.
The politicians and black community leaders have no backbone to address these wildings. They refuse to be honest about the situation.
I say, fuck them. If I were there, I'd certainly have a surprise for some of those animals.

Last nite 18 had the worst infestation of ghetto rats that we have ever seen in all our years on the job. Besides creating general havoc in every corner of the district they pummeled good citizens, looted numerous convenience stores, were throwing fireworks at families, fighting everyone that got in their way and stripped countless individuals of any valuables they carried. Don't recall any shootings but did hear of a few stabbings.
Complaining of a lack of manpower is fruitless at this point. The vermon has taken over the Mag Mile and surrounding area and all we can do to protect the citizenry and tourists is to strongly suggest that they DO NOT come downtown!

Point one: reducing the number of officers on this Department has been a huge problem for the safety and welfare of the taxpayers.
Point two: deploying said officers in great numbers only to the gang infested areas for the sole purpose of reducing the homicide number attached to the City is asinine. No, correction, it's criminal. It's criminal because the only reason for it is to advance the careers of Mayor Emmanuel and Superintendent McCarthy.
Point three: The Mayor and Superintendent are leading failed administrations and should be replaced.

Obviously the solution is to simply walk around with your cell phone and wallet held in outstretched arms. Whoever wants them doesn't have to beat you then, they just take your phone and wallet and go away. Then all you have to do is apologize to the next thug that wants it for not having more cell phones and wallets to give away.
Or, load up your cell phone with plastic explosive to help rid the world of this vermin.

Why would ANYONE go to the lake front in CHICAGO for a holiday.. between Daley and Rahm the gangs run the city.. It was that way before my husband and I left 8 years ago because we were sick of the ILLEGAL ALIENS and GANG BANGERS having all the rights and CITIZENS having none.. I still have STUPID relatives who still live there waiting for the city to go back the way it use to be but with DEMOCRATS in control that is NEVER going to happen so they stay close to home only venturing out to their back yards and jump every time a car goes past in their alley rather than MOVE.. and they live in a relatively GOOD section of the city..
Rahm Emanuel is a complete pig. There are thousands of rats all over the city, good neighborhoods, bad, doesn't matter. Endless graffiti takes almost a year to be cleaned up, if ever. Garbage can go 3-4 weeks piling up all over the alleys. Trash cans on main streets overflow without pickup, so, more rats. All the funds are siphoned into this fleabag mayor's election campaign piggy bank which has to be bursting at the seams by now. So is the money for better police protection. Rahm just stinks at everything he does except robbing the citizens. He gets an A+ for that.
Well if you read www.starnews.com, Indy was up for grabs from the Amish utes. One 16 yoa parent, wont be there for fathers day next year. His mother described him as "fun, loving, troubled"

We need to get rid of Rahm first.
Register and vote even if retired and moved out of the city. Your pension depends on it. If Rahm can put a box under the stairs and claim residency you can get/forward mail and pay your taxes here and vote absentee from wherever you are.
There are a few current CPD members biting their lips now and some recent retirees that would be much better Superintendents than any outsides who would serve at the pleasure of the Rahm. We need to take our country, our state, our city and our Department back.

P.S. Has there been any rumblings about Bloomberg's dictate endorsing Bill Daley for Governor. Some downstate contacts say HELL NO! But they probably said that about Quinn too.

I live in 016 and myself and all my neighbors put our garbage in the garbage cans and every Tuesday our garbage is picked up. They never miss a week and are only a day late when there is a holiday. Just saying. Garbage doesn't get in the alleys unless someone puts it there

Please do not wish for Jonathan Lewin and Martin Ryczek to return to police duties. We don't want them. One is more incompetent than the other. They would be no help and only make things worse. Leave them at oemc.
