Last night made me wonder if maybe we dont deserve our independence anymore. This grand experiment seems to be a failure.
Any hard working law abiding taxpaying citizen of this SHITHOLE, who's tired of what's become of our city, county state, should really read our Declaration of Independence, especially the first two paragraphs. Maybe a little reminder will wake you up and we can all begin to RIGHT this WRONG.

Concealed carry has some very powerful opponents here in Illinois. Quinn, Pflager, Emmanuel, Lisa Madigan, Shelia Simon and a host of others. These people do not believe that average citizens may be trusted to exercise their basic right to self defense. The premise is that the state is best qualified to determine who is worth defending and who is not worth defending. If you are not part of that special class of people, you will have to either live life as a hermit, or rely on your ability to run away from danger to keep yourself alive. As you may suspect, that special class of people includes politicians, government bigwigs, and celebrities – all of whom are provided with armed security guards, often at the expense of those deemed unworthy of defense.

Really? Last night, I sat on a tarp with some really good friends, watching fireworks to a soundtrack that included Louis Armstrong's "What a wonderful world". Children were oohing and aahing and parents were singing along, with tears in their eyes. Most in the crowd grasped the bigger picture, not just the boom of the rockets.
What happened to you last night, that you lost faith?

The fireworks downtown were a complete disaster again tonight, but I'm sure we'll all hear about what a smashing success it was tomorrow morning. The terrorists were running around in large packs with multiple citizens relating that these cannibals were throwing M80's at the good citizens that were actually willing to spend their hard earned money in crime ridden Chicago. Not only were the groups throwing explosives at people, but it wouldn't be a weekend in downtown Chicago unless they conveniently renowned iphone and handbags from their owners. My favorite part of the evening was when a sergeant asked the officers stationed at the Oak Street Beach entrance at Michigan avenue to push back the group to prevent then from reaching the beach, the officer calmly stated "there's only me and one other officer, so I don't think that's happening." What a circus.
