Chicago Style

It was only a matter of time until something like this was revealed:
  • First Lady Michelle Obama’s Princeton classmate is a top executive at the company that earned the contract to build the failed Obamacare website.

Toni Townes-Whitley, Princeton class of ’85, is senior vice president at CGI Federal, which earned the no-bid contract to build the $678 million Obamacare enrollment website at Healthcare.gov. CGI Federal is the U.S. arm of a Canadian company.
The Machine is alive and well and living in DC.

Absent evidence that Mrs. Obama and Townes-Whitley are very close, I’m not sure why this is supposed to be scandalous. Given that it’s one of the most prestigious universities in the country, any large company will likely have Princeton grads among its executive ranks—particularly graduates from over a quarter century ago.

Purely coincidental. Lady Obama is the last person in the world to do anything improper. Unlike her historic and famous husband, Lady Obama is a native Chicagoan. Besides she has Valarie Jarrett to serve as an example, and conscious, as to what is right and proper.

I would love to see Obama go down in flames over this...there has to be an email(s) or some other proof saved by someone to be used as a hole card that spells out how this no bid contract to a foreign company that happens to be connected to an old family friend of Mr and Mrs O.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Obamas had a hidden financial interest in the Mrs' old friend's company

Per the Daily Caller (Drudge link), CGI is also the consulting agency for a 1.7 billion dollar HUD grant for Sandy victims. A fraction of those requesting aid have received help, a year after the storm. Obama's America: victims repeatedly being victimized, fomenting agitation and unrest. So what do you have to say about your pal now, Gov. Fat Bastard?

Really disturbing, but not surprising. I repeatedly warned relatives voting outside of Illinois that the so called "progressive" Obama was going to take Chicago political corruption national. He has fully lived up to my prediction with slumlord Valerie Jarrett running the show. None of these people (Barry, Michelle or Valerie) earned an honest dollar in the private sector, they cashed in while working government jobs (Michelle was noted for reading romance novels and doing cross word puzzles on city time). $642 million and counting spent for a government web site that does not work!

Don't look here, look THERE!
*Squeeky - Squooky - Squeek!*

Here! Jinx the Media Ass-Clown just pulled a freshly twisted balloon animal of distraction out of his ass... Don't you want it?

Ugh! "Chicago Style" indeed...

The take-away on this monstrous, flaming goo-goo cluster known as Obama Care?

It IS indicative of a still larger flaming goo-goo cluster that is destroying this republic. One tradition, one principle, one scruple, one revered institution and one clear-eyed ideal at a time...

Chicago style?
More like The Chicago Way...

The thorough co-opting of the process of governance by yellow-pinky, privileged, deeply closeted Bolsheviks in Democrat clothing.

(Along with their kleptocratic, money laundering corporate and phony charity big money contributor friends... Egad, what an unholy alliance and the American people are in big trouble for it!)

The above noted individuals and entities are thoroughly convinced that they're the smartest people in the room and endowed by their creator with the inalienable right to AFFLICT the rest of society with the over-abundance of bright ideas that they just cannot for the life of them, keep to themselves...

(Before you JOYFUL HATERS start with your shit-talk, we're not fans of the Republicans either, especially in their current incarnation)

Chicago is Ground Zero for this cancer but the national body politic is so afflicted in other well know democratic urban centers like Los Angeles, San Francisco and New Yuck City.

We note with amusement that Denver and Boulder are infested with transplants from California have managed to displace the born and bred locals and are trying to ruin the rest of the sovereign state of Colorado with their moonbat agenda.

The "hope and change" aspect of "Chicago Style" political fuckery demands a steep price from people who work and try to move themselves and their families ahead.

They're seen as "bitter clingers" because they refuse to go along with an agenda that is throughly regressive and oppressive.

When you see THE ENTIRE MIDDLE CLASS OF AMERICAN SOCIETY being INTENTIONALLY walked BACKWARDS to "equality" with the resolute non-contributors while Wall Street fraudsters are being propelled by USGOV to unheard of heights in prosperity? You're damn right your gut should tell you something IS WRONG!

And for you "greedy" pension having Cops and Firemen?

These people of "Chicago Style" who have facilitated the theft of taxpayer treasure to "bail out" Wall Street are now allied with these dirty fucks who wrecked this nation financially, are now preaching the gospel of pension divestment for muni employees.

When the media twists itself in knots to avoid calling what it REALLY is, it REALLY is that which they're trying to avoid calling it.

It's all a fucking mess because of "Chicago Style."

*You people are just angry for no reason and don't want to change*

Thus sayeth the smartest m/fers in the room? Why the fuck does "change" have to be dictated from THEIR POV in order to be acceptable to "everyone?"

And picking up shit by the "clean end" IS possible according to these lefty loons.

GTFOH with that crazy talk and leave us working people alone.

We've had enough of your bright fucking ideas!

Detroit Pensioners Face Miserable 16 Cent On The Dollar Recovery

'[...]...The only question is how will those same retirees who have just undergone an 84 cent haircut, take it. One hopes: peacefully. Because among those whose incentive to work effectively has just been cut to zero, is also the local police force. In which case if hope once again fails, it is perhaps better not to contemplate the consequences. For both Meredith Whitney, who will eventually be proven right, and for everyone else...

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2013-10-27/detroit-pensioners-face-miserable-16-cent-dollar-recovery

this will play out over and over again within many municipalities. detroit is only the beginning.

the bankers have robbed our future and for many, reality will not set in until it is us.

the corporate media of course will try and keep us focused on jobs. look at the jobs we are creating. hahaha..

however talking about the kind of jobs being created will ruin the illusion. part-time and temporary jobs to avoid obamacare.

meanwhile, while everyone is focused on job growth with hopes and dreams of a long waited recovery i'd like you to think about the number of retirees that will have had their pensions cut to nothing -- and the effect on the economy that will have.

retirees with pensions buy things, take trips that help grow the economy...at least they use to.

now we look at the millions of pensioners that played by the rules, that will live their lives out in poverty and welfare as the corporate ceo's get another bonus and guys like our mayor blows money on useless status symbols of power like maggie park.

if anyone wonders why the military are doing drills in major usa cities to the extent that we have never-every seen before i think the reason is clear as day.

time is up for these retirees. there is no going back to work and getting another job to replace their retirement funds. time is up. they are done. no corporation is gonna hire them. no amount of re-training is going to fix their age and how society is biased against them by the ivy league types.

'who you gonna serve and who you gonna protect'

everyone does need a paycheck. ya gotta eat. at the same time are we ready to sell out our morals and ethics. we just may have to make that decision in the near future.

that pension benefit statement with the false hopes and dreams that many of us took our jobs for is worthless. it was and is a lie.

yep, remember when obama told us all we are not going to let detroit go bankrupt.

ask yourself who benefited the most from those automaker bailouts..the employees, customers, and taxpayers or the ceo's and exec's.

sure some got a new car under the cash for clunker program but was the program for us or to enhance the ceo's profits. that car will last a few years until it's luster fades

sure jobs were saved... for a while...as the union was busted and the autoworkers starting wages were cut to the poverty scale level.

but no-no-no don't talk about what kind of jobs were saved as they are not the good paying autoworker jobs that we've all been conditioned to associate with the industry.

so who benefited and who was saved other than the auto exec's and their friends that provide the campaign funds to keep the status quo going no matter which gang gets in office...the bloods or the crypts, republicans or democrats.

the ceo's got enough cash to last them a lifetime as they leave town to some safe tax haven that doesn't allow extradition.

[...]...It is the same kind of violent and anguished repricing that all unsecrued creditors in the coming wave of heretofore "denialed" municipal bankruptcy filings will have to undergo. Starting with Detroit, where as Reuters reports, the recovery to pensioners, retirees and all other unsecured creditors will be.... 16 cents on the dollar!... or less than what Greek bondholders got in the country's latest (and certainly not final) bankruptcy.

From Reuters:

On Friday, city financial consultant Kenneth Buckfire said he did not have to recommend to Orr that pensions for the city's retirees be cut as a way to help Detroit navigate through debts and liabilities that total $18.5 billion.

Buckfire said it was clear that the city did not have the funds to pay the unsecured pension payouts without cutting them.

"It was a function of the mathematics," said Buckfire, who said he did not think it was necessary for him or anyone else to recommend pension cuts to Orr.

"Are you saying it was so self-evident that no one had to say it?" asked Claude Montgomery, attorney for a committee of retirees that was created by Rhodes.

"Yes," Buckfire answered.

Buckfire, a Detroit native and investment banker with restructuring experience, later told the court the city plans to pay unsecured creditors, including the city's pensioners, 16 cents on the dollar. There are about 23,500 city retirees.

One wonders by how many cents on the dollar the recovery to pensioners would increase if the New York-based Miller Buckfire were to cut their advisory fee...

food stamp cuts take effect nov. 1

happy holidays to the over 2 million people on food stamps in illinois.

obama just took away grandma's and grandpa's thanksgiving day and christmas dinners and more.

the temporary increase in food stamps due to the poor economy that was issued in 2009 expires in just a few days.

heh, the economy is so much better now, right.

also..

the inflation calulator shows on the bls.com web site, the cost of living, the cost of food has gone up by a minimum of 9 percent while we are now going to cut the food stamps by about 5 percent in response. so that makes sense.

oh and hey why not. the number of unemployed in illinois has gone up and not down since 2009 it should be easy to get a job, so get off your ass and work ...hahaha /sarcasm

a ten dollar a month cut per person doesn't sound like much to a public servant worker making close to six figures a year does it. i mean you make that in under an hour.

let's see how you do after your pensions get cut and everyone is on this rationing program. when your food budget is set at 1.40 per meal that's a huge hit.

remember now. tell grandma and grandpa no sugary soft drinks for you. we don't care if it's one of the few enjoyments left on your way to chemo treatments.

What a moron you are. "If a small percentage of real needy people get screwed so be it"..."My family wont have to worry"...I was pushing social services for a living before I got on the job. I had more unemployed/underemployed college grads that have always worked, vets from WWII, Korea, and Nam, and some of the sweetest old ladies you'd ever want to pinch your cheeks..boo hooing and sobbing in my line because of how embarrassed they were to ask for govt assistance. I don't have much money. My wife stays home and raises the kids. We both have education and a few connections here and there yet somehow I don't take it for granted and know that I'm one lawsuit away, one line of duty crash, one bad domestic away from losing even that. I don't feel bad for lazy bums who don't work for nothing but to be without any compassion for the genuinely needy is something reserved for the biggest pricks among us, of which you seem to be the leader.

How do you know the person who got the work was African American? There was around 1,200 - 1,300 in Princeton classes around that time. So, maybe 500 - 600 women, not a clue about race.

I swear, if someone makes a point that another cop doesn't like, they just get condemned with the catch-all "that's liberal bullshit" and it is end of discussion because, well, calling something liberal is like the kiss of death, poison, child molester, baby killer.

In fact, this post might be termed "liberal" and hell. that is close to socialism which is similar to communism like those Castro loving pinko commie bastards in New York!
