Costly Loss

So two medium offenses met two less than stellar defenses and a 45-41 scoring-fest takes place. The Bears also lost so many players to injuries that we think we saw the entire defensive line was the second team at one point.

McCown looked good though, even if the defense was one stop short of winning the game.

Bye-week next.

You were playing the R word team. How could anyone hope to win against a team with such an odious name that it cannot even be uttered in polite society? Just touching the same ball they touched risked contamination, touching or allowing an opposing player to touch a Bear was worse than contamination. I am surprised any team would go on the same field as those R word guys.

If the Bears need consoling, my pretty loft is available to them with an endless supply of my famous white wine spritzers.

Now, kees me you fool!!!!

The entire Defense is decimated now; Line, Linebackers and Cornerbacks. Makes it kind of tough on the Safeties (Chris Conte is catching a lot of heat).

But yeah, the Offense and Josh McCown looked good, more than 'good'. He's likely the best backup QB Da Bears have had in eons -- going back to good old Rudy Bukich first in '58-'59 and then his best years '62-'68.

The good news is Da Bears now have 14 days to get healthy.
The bad news is the next game is against the Packers -- in Green Bay -- at night -- on national television....arrrrrgh!!

Who cares? They won't even be .500.

8-8 at best. Green Bay will chew them up in two weeks. They never were as good as advertised or as some unrealistic Bears fans thought they were. Defense is old and hurt, Conte and Wright suck and McClellan is playing out of position. (he is too small to be a defensive end and is starting to look like a wasted draft pick. Why not try to make him a line backer?) Bears will have some big decisions to make in the off season.

With so many injuries, you have to wonder if the Bears training staff is doing it's job. This may sound like a ridiculous question, but it's not.

The Washington Redskins have agreed to change their name. From now on they'll be called the DC Redskins.

oh no, say it ain't so--- cutler out with a groin injury and the bears chances of doing anything this season just got flushed--- groin pulls take forever to heal and if it is a tear he is done for the season--- the blackhawks look good but need to light the lamp a little more often--- time to shake off the stanley cup "buzz" and play chicago style hockey....

41-24 Bears win if Chris Conte is not on the field. He is the worst safety in the NFL.

The defense used to be the strength of this team, not anymore.

The defense, especially the secondary yesterday, couldn't cover a mannequin.

Now the injury reports/estimates are rolling in. These truly are the Bad News Bears.

This country sometimes wants to act as though what happened to all those people is in the past.

what else is it at this point than to say, "to the victor belong the spoils?" If we want to see you as nothing more than a caricature or some nonexistent mythical creature, or even better yet, say it's meant as an honor to depict you with reverence regardless of the simple fact that the term was never meant as anything more than derogatory.

They still exist. They're real people. They're not only part of our past they're part of our present, in spite of the very real atrocities.

perhaps to the victor belong the spoils but for dozens of entire tribal nations there never was any war, only decimation.

I'm not a liberal, I can't stand this failure of a president so don't think conservative republicans like myself can't wonder why there has never been a reckoning for the complete disregard of an entire people, forcibly removed, transferred around by force over and over and told where and how to live, and now expected to shut up every time their image is so honorably or in supposedly benign fashion gets touted as a logo or a cartoon and labelled at the will of an otherwise just nation.

you brought it up, btw. I was originally just gonna say .500 season, at best.

The bears org. doesn't want to admit it but they are rebuilding, in transition, and in trouble. Cutler just isn't that great, the o-line is on the ascent as the once phenomenal defense declines. Byt he time they repair or replace shortcomings, it'll be time for qb shopping yet again, cuz this guy came to chicago to get beaten up, apparently, and will be lucky to have anything left in another season or two, tops.

tressman is an experiment that won't last. They'll land a new head coach and perhaps keep him somewhere on the staff.

what really has to change with this team is ownership. Time for all this legacy nonsense to die. The mckaskeys are like all the other big money names in this town. They want all the respect for what they've supposedly brought to this town, all the while not doing a very good job of acting like they can stand the spectators and their constant demand for a winning team. It's like they said, "this is for Virginia. "

It must be a misdiagnosis on cutler - everybody knows there's nothing in his groin area that could possibly be injured.

It's time to start searching for a REAL quarterback for the Bears. Let this pussy cutler go. No one else in their right minds would take him.

I'm getting extremely tired of hearing that the Bears organization sought his opinion before hiring the new head coach. And that this new head coach "is a good fit" for this fucking incompetent excuse for a QB. Since when does this fuckface have any say in how the team is managed? Fuck this whiny bitch and let him go!
