Racial politics, alive and well in Chicago:
- SCC, this is off topic but needs to be brought to light.
Maria Pena from 010 was slated to become the new Commander of 011 but the local reverends of 011 blew a [gasket] and are demanding a black Commander.
How is this not blatantly racist. How can no one see the racism here. Simply put if the residents of 016 demanded a white Commander as well as the local priests it would be world wide news and the local black fake reverends would be demanding action.. To add fuel to the fire, the city has backed down and are now on the hunt for a "suitable" black Commander. So the reverends are openly racist and are rewarded and NO ONE IS ACCOUNTABLE.
When will the world wake up.. Safe to demand a black president and those comments are common place..Demand a white president and you're a racist..
Even McJersey will never be able to overcome this sort of political thinking in Chicago.

Blacks are catered to in this city and by liberals as a whole. Demanding either a black or a white President for example would be racist. Political correctness is killing the department,city,state, and the entire country. There are people in this world that (mistakenly) believe that only white people can be racist.
There is a great need to readjust the large number of blacks that end up incarcerated. Our attorney general believes that is because the justice system in America is racist.

Whites are not demanding any colors at all. The reason? We want the best person for the job and that's how we vote and decide for positions. Too many groups vote or promote based on skin color. How is that a qualification. If you had a brain tumor would you want the top of the class cracking open your melon or would you say "I only want a black, white, brown surgeon?" I would hope you got my point but the reality is some are so "Color Blind" no amount of common sense will change opinions. That song has been sung so many time about "poor me" that it's lost any value.
Well....there is currently a black commander in 20. A largely white population with a black commander. No complaints from the civilized.

I would only hope that this would happen. It would not matter to most people and would not bring any shouting by north side political leaders. Is there not a black commander of 20?
I'm not at saying I agree with this Tactic but can you say, with any degree of confidence that Blacks are not passed over unfairly in the Department?
I think that's where this "pick the guy that looks like me" thing kicks in.

I don't know much but I have been in 011 for years and all I can say is that we are not in Kansas anymore. We have had great bosses in 011 besides the few two month wonders that were tossed or just left on there own. But now we have a mess in a half. All the bosses on third watch are insane and there is no light at the end of the tunnel, I never posted on here but thought I would tell everyone that it really won't matter who the CO is we have shit bosses now and the citizens are shit the boses are shit. So it really won't make a damn bit of a difference who the hell we get. Just get me the hell out of this District...

Here's the out: simply make Roger Bay the commander. Thus, there is NO change, it is exactly like it has been for two months - it's only a title change! They haven't complained about anything up until it is time to give a title to a black person. Ha. Yes having Leo has helped our morale. Especially when comparing him to the last one. Our previous DC, AC, was incompetent, useless and only knew how to use his position to try to take advantage of PO's. Which was also part of the reason why he had to "go away" and retire quietly. Good riddance.
