Aldercreature Accepts "Contributions"

  • An “embarrassed” Southeast Side alderman vowed Tuesday to recoup the property tax savings he championed for a scrap yard at the center of an investigation into stolen vehicles.

Two years ago, Ald. John Pope (10th) and Mayor Rahm Emanuel persuaded City Council to approve an incentive that allowed Adelman’s Truck and Equipment Corp. to forge ahead with a $2.5 million expansion of a scrap facility at 3033 E. 106th.

The subsidy will cost Chicago taxpayers roughly $162,000 over a dozen years. In exchange, the company vowed to add 24 jobs to a skeletal staff of four.

“These projects will support new investment, strengthen our economy and create new job opportunities for residents,” Emanuel said at the time.

Now, Adelman’s finds itself embroiled in a police investigation.

Police said they suspect the facility was operating as a chop shop with 19 suspected stolen vehicles — and possibly more — found on the lot since Monday.
Pardon our laughter - but Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Hey, any hint this was Outfit money?

Years ago an on duty Captain of Police walked into a chop shop full of stolen autos, said hello and left. He went to jail for that I believe. Ronnie Nash I believe it was. I wonder if that was in the same area as this shit?

Did anyone see any school buses being cut up for scrap?

Emanuel ordinance grants zoning exemption for petcoke

8:06 p.m. CDT, April 1, 2014

"Faced with public outrage about gritty black dust blowing through Chicago’s Southeast Side, Mayor Rahm Emanuel talked of forcing towering mounds of petroleum coke out of Chicago and outlawing new piles with costly regulations.

"But the fine print of a zoning ordinance unveiled Tuesday by the Emanuel administration opens the door for greater use of the high-sulfur, high-carbon refinery byproduct in the city."

One news station reported over 70 stolen cars- can that be true? Isn't that an increase to the decrease, unlike our pension checks?

When you play with the dirty dogs, your gonna get the fleas. Whether your in the private sector running a criminal enterprise chop shop or an elected official in the public sector flexing political and regulatory muscle, everyone is getting paid. The skids got greased. Just follow the money. The people who write the laws and have influence over public policy, conduct the people business under color of law. Pass out that tax money or the hard earned dollars of the working class to fellow thieves of a different stripe. Sell it to the unwashed masses as job creation. Elected officials get their cut through carefully constructed legal means. Ethics matters. The other guys made their money through criminal endeavors which is then transferred through backroom deals to those broke ass politicians who cloak themselves as compassionate, caring public servants. The apples, the poisoned fruit, don’t fall far from the ruling party’s tree.

Now the police need to take a look at the scrap yard at Ewing and the Calumet River, also in the 004th District.

Old Ronnie didn't just walk in, he walked in and left with an envelope. When he got back to 004 he found out from a tac guy that the shop was a fed sting. So he did what any crooked captain would do and went back and tried to give it back. He is the first one ever filmed taking a bribe and trying to give it back. HA, HA and yes the sting was right around the corner at 105th and Torrance Ave.

OT, but strong Rumor:

Feds getting ready to indict numerous [over 100] ex- CPD-CFD on Disability Fraud / Theft /and crossing State Lines to Commit Fraud Charges. Undercover investigation shows disabled CPD & CFD golfing at Golf Courses, carrying bags and golf clubs thru Airports, Fishing, Hunting, partying on the Beach and local taverns, drinking, working out at Health Clubs and Gyms, jogging, working on houses, cutting grass, shoveling snow, loading numerous supplies into their cars and trucks at Home Depot type stores, general fucking around with friends, and all sorts of things they're restricted from doing, after claiming Disability, from bad backs, bad hearts, bad circulation, dizzy spells, and numerous other ailments they're currently on Disability for. etc. Indictments coming by summer. Coast to Coast Investigation. Even got a few Females. Feds also rumored to have witnesses to payoffs, done to obtain Disability Approvals. Rumor has it this is just one of the things that have to be done first, before justifying Pension Cuts by Political Leaders. They should prepare to be fucked, Big-Time, including Felony Federal Criminal Charges and IRS Audits. Supposedly it's going to make the NYC Disability Scam Indictments look pale in comparison.
