In Like a Lamb...

March goes out like a lion:
  • [Sunday] At least four people were wounded in shootings on the city's West and South sides during an 11-hour stretch starting Sunday afternoon, authorities said.

  • [Monday] A man was killed and two other people injured in separate shootings on the South Side today, authorities said.
So while McCompStat holds some sort of presser tomorrow and lets everyone know how arsons are down again, we'll invite the guys from HeyJackass.com to tell everyone how March 2014 outpaced March 2013 in homicides. We aren't sure about the wounds and maimings.

That makes two months in a row that killings are up though.

Here we go -- Ezekiel Emanuel's "Let Old People Die" plan, being implemented more every day.

Emanuel's pension fix: Tax, cut

12:04 a.m. CDT, April 1, 2014

"Mayor Rahm Emanuel is proposing to raise property taxes and cut retirement benefits for some city workers to start digging out of a massive pension debt he inherited.

"But the proposal the mayor and his top aides outlined late Monday would not address huge pension shortfalls for Chicago police, firefighters and teachers. Nor would it deal with the city's most immediate, pressing financial problem: a state requirement to pay a whopping $600 million more toward police and fire pensions next year, a provision that could lead to a combination of tax increases, service cuts and borrowing.

"The mayor's proposal involves both taxpayers and city workers paying more. Under the proposal, the owner of a $250,000 home would pay $50 more a year starting in 2016. After five years, the homeowner would be paying an extra $250 a year.

"That tax hike is on top of the property tax increases the mayor has enacted at Chicago Public Schools....

"The city would pay billions of dollars more into the pension system over four decades, with about half of that coming from property taxes. The rest would come from airport and water and sewer fees, savings from cuts to retiree health care and other unspecified budget cuts..."

The lap dogs over at he Sun Times (10 sheets of advertising and some sports numbers) are hard at work on Rahm's campaign. How else can you explain the ridiculous article on response times in the ghetto. It is just Rahm getting ahead of the inevitable backlash that will come from stripping more police from taxpaying neighborhoods.

As Rahm "redistributes the crime", the animals begin to wander to the less protected neighborhoods. It really is that simple. Follow the politics.

Hey, DIPSHIT, no crook county judge has the authority to usurp a contract with his own opinion.

Other than a federal overtaking of city operations, no judge has the authority to dictate police deployment. That authority rests solely with the CPD, not any judge. That would fall under what's known as "legislating from the bench", which, they don't have the authority to do.

So idiot, there ain't much a judge can do about changing anything because how the city applies manpower is a right of the City. In other words asshat, a judge doesn't have the authority to legislate how this city operates from the bench.

And if you're referring to whether it's race related bullshit or not, no attorney will ever be able to prove the amount of police assigned has anything to do with race. especially when they already get a far higher percentage of police than everywhere else.

So go eat a bag of dicks, no judge can usurp contract rights, so if in the remote chance the city WERE forced to deploy more cops there, THE CONTRACT APPLIES ASSHOLE, meaning not enough bids and it goes to reverse seniority.

You keep sniffing that paint genius, one day you'll be out of someone else's misery.

This quote by the Mayor says it all about him. He is truly a fucking asshole!!! I'm tired of all of these thieving politicians! This country is fucked if these idiots keep getting elected.

Feds intercepted 722,000 illegal immigrants last year but charged just 27 PER CENT with criminal violations – and let 68,000 convicted criminals go!

The Department of Homeland Security is letting illegal immigrants go in record numbers, including those already convicted of serious crimes

A man accused of raping a child in his own family was released, apparently because of a policy of 'discretion' when suspects are child caregivers

Another man facing vehicular homicide charges walked away because Chicago's county jail officials refused to let the feds interview him

According to a new report, just 195,000 out of 722,000 illegal immigrants encountered by ICE were charged with immigration violations in 2013

[...]..in one infamous case, Chicago police arrested Amado Espinoza-Ramirez, a Mexican national whose final charging sheet accused him of sexual assault involving a minor less than thirteen years old, sexual relations with a family member, and forcible sexual assault.
Amado Espinoza-Ramirez still stands charged with multiple counts of child rape against a member of his own family. ICE let him go under a policy that affords preference to illegal immigrants who are responsible for the care of minor children.

Amado Espinoza-Ramirez still stands charged with multiple counts of child rape against a member of his own family. ICE let him go under a policy that affords preference to illegal immigrants who are responsible for the care of minor children.

The 42 charges weren't all filed immediately, so a judge granted him a $100,000 bond. A friend bailed him out for $10,000, but ICE took custody.

Seeing that he was officially a caregiver for a minor child – one of the categories of prosecutorial discretion in the White House's guidelines – the agency released him with a summons to appear in immigration court later.

That minor was likely the young child Espinoza-Ramirez allegedly raped.

He never returned to face his charges, either in criminal court or in immigration proceedings.

The case of Cook County, Illinois is indicative of nationwide problems, but ICE agents face an extra hurdle there: Since Chicago declared itself a 'sanctuary' city in 2011, the Cook County jail has closed its doors to federal immigration authorities

The Daily Caller reported in 2012 that federal agents can no longer interview the county jail's inmates to determine whether they should be flagged for 'removal' – deportation i or other immigration proceedings.

Saul Chavez, a Chicago-area illegal immigrant who with a drunk driving conviction already on his record, fled that year to avoid facing a felony charge of vehicular homicide.

Charging documents showed that Chavez was drunk when he plowed his car into a 66-year-old man who was crossing the street, dragging him about two hundred feet.

ICE placed a 'detainer' on Chavez after he was jailed, ordering his continued detention even if he made bail.

But Cook County ignored the directive. When Chavez found enough money to post bond five months after his arrest, he walked out of the jail, never to return.

Immigration officials have complained about a lack of bed space in detention facilities for the annual crush of detainees they process.

But for the last three years, the Department of Homeland Security has consistently decreased the number of beds covered in its annual budget requests.

The Center ofr Immigration Studies reported Monday that 'despite claims of a focus on public safety, the administration’s prosecutorial discretion criteria are allowing factors such as family relationships, political considerations, or attention from advocacy groups to trump criminal convictions as a factor leading to deportation.'

As you can see Obama will pick and choose who and which laws will be enforced.

Chicago's mindless political apparatus will do as they are told by their corporate campaign donator/partners

If you're an illegal immigrant it's okay to rape your own children because you're a care giver -- Obama says let him go -- what about 'the children' rahm

Meanwhile, the corporate run media propaganda machines will dutiful run stories on how we should not break up the families,

Spinning like a Maytag washer

If you're an illegal immigrant you can get drunk and run down 66 year old's -- dragging them down the road to their deaths.

Illinois hands out drivers licenses to illegals to encourage this. All a part of that 'Broken Windows' crime fighting methodology.

Drunk driving illegal immigrants and handing out Illinois drivers licenses to the law breakers is a tool that we can use to show that the traffic cams are working.

Chicago easing public housing ban for ex-offenders

March 29, 2014 11:44 am

CHICAGO (AP) — The city of Chicago will begin to ease restrictions that have prevented former prison inmates from moving back into public housing.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel announced the program Friday at an event to promote his administration's work to help ex-offenders find jobs and housing.

The mayor said "serving time in jail or prison should not mean that you forfeit your opportunity to turn your life around."

The lifting of public housing restrictions will start off with a pilot program in which 50 former inmates will move back into Chicago Housing Authority homes over the next three years.

Emanuel says the intention is to help ex-offenders become self-sufficient and reunite with family members living in public housing.

Rahms for the children bullshit.

Teen's death follows radical immigration policy

Chicago suspect identified for possible deportation was instead released

[...]..Erick Maya, 23, is currently being held by authorities in Romeoville, Ill., a suburb 30 miles southwest of Chicago, after being arrested and charged with the murder of his 15-year-old girlfriend and the attempted murder of her mother in February.

Brianna Valle, 15, died after being shot twice in the head, and her mother, Alicia Guerrero, was injured, local authorities confirm.

Maya’s encounters with police date back at least to October 2011, when he was arrested for assaulting another 15-year-old in Berwyn, Ill., a suburb in south Cook County. He was sentenced to 60 days in prison, which he served at the Cook County Jail.

According to Gail Montenegro, an Immigration and Customs Enforcement official for Illinois, ICE placed a detainer on Maya at the time of his arrest. That detainer is a hold of up to two business days placed on prisoners in municipal jails who also are sought by ICE officials for immigration violations.

Normally, inmates with detainers like Maya, instead of being released following their sentence, would be transferred to ICE and ultimately deported. But in September 2011, Cook County adopted a radical ordinance that prevents Cook County Jail officials from cooperating with ICE on any detainer, even ones for individuals involved in violent offenses like Maya.

Montenegro told WND that Maya simply was released rather than being turned over to ICE after his sentence was served at Cook County Jail.

But, I am sure you separated the parties as your police action. Not worth getting in trouble for other people's stupid stuff. All you are mandated to do is call 911 and report the incident. The family took a bunch of pictures of everything and the offenders are posting a bunch of pictures on fb. From the Jefferson tap incident we learned to call 911 at minimum.

Just wanted to send a quick thank you to all that attended the Police vs Fire Hockey Game on Sunday, as well as to those that contributed in any way. For as quickly as we put it together, it was a huge success and we're going to attempt to make it even bigger and better next year.

To those upset that the game was not held at The United Center, everyone I spoke to who attended this year's rendition spoke very highly of The Edge in Bensenville as a venue. I urge the upset to give it a chance for any future charity games as they may be pleasantly surprised.

Again, thank you for any and all support you gave, and we hope to see you next year.

Here's an idea, for Sgt's promotions the city uses their 30% merit and promote those in rank order up to 500 off the old list and the other 80% rank order off the new list. It's a win--win, no interviews, no hard feelings and some good people who deserve to get promoted get promoted. Just an idea, tell me what you think

4/01/2014 12:18:00 PM

I'll tell you what I think.

I think you realized (way too late) that you probably SHOULD HAVE taken this most recent sergeant test because you're too far down on the existing list to be promoted in rank order. That, and you're a cloutless nobody just like me.

Word directly from a "Pin Cushion" I know very well at Fort Fellatio is NO more classes off the old list as the current tests are all graded and are now being final reviewed prior to the rankings being mailed.

Know what else I think? That it sucks to be you.

Work in a Pilot District and am amazed no one has been killed or seriously injured at the shift change times. I hate to say it but when the weather warms up someone is going to get hurt badly, while a watch is trying to go home and another lined up in the station. It is a HUGE Achilles heal.

congratulations.

It's not extraordinary or anything. Could have failed 3rd or 6th grade or he probably has a early birthday-- both common occurrences. Whats more troubling is the previous and recent arrest.

3 decent days in a row. And holy shit they are shooting everyone and everything. How are the crime numbers looking now? What's the excuse? This is an isolated incident and they are done and friends now? Not even half of them have awaken from hibernation and hit the streets yet. Think of what your going to say before you say it boss. Better yet, think of what rahm wants you to say before you say it.

Man falsely reported person fell in lake on North Side

5:40 p.m. CDT, March 30, 2014

"An Edgewater man has been charged with making a false emergency call after Chicago Police and the U.S. Coast Guard searched Lake Michigan near Edgewater Beach for a person in the water this morning...

"Daniel Grunauer, 30, of the 5800 block of North Kenmore Avenue, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct, making a false report, after the incident about 6:30 a.m. in the 900 block of West Thorndale Avenue...

Bill this s__thead for the ENTIRE callout.

I've seen people charged with this as a felony and go away for a while when they cause a large waste of resources. A woman in 024, alcoholic, called many hundreds of times and got arrested very many times. The judges kept trying to force her to get into rehab but it never worked as far as I know.

Should be 70% not 80%, so 70% off the new list and 30% off the old list up to 500,all rank order. No more random merit picks. Not a bad idea!

New index reveals sobering picture of how much African-American children lag

By Amanda Paulson, Staff writer, Christian Science Monitor

April 1, 2014

"Children of color – and African-American children in particular – face enormous opportunity barriers compared with their white and Asian counterparts, according to a new report, which characterized the wide gaps as a national crisis.

"The "Race for Results" report from the Annie E. Casey Foundation, part of its annual “Kids Count” publications, broke down data on education, family resources, and neighborhood by race and by state...

"The report [noted]...a McKinsey & Co. study that concluded if the United States had closed the achievement gap by 1998, and African-American and Latino students had caught up with white students, America’s GDP in 2008 would have been $525 billion higher."

http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/2014/0401/New-index-reveals-sobering-picture-of-how-much-African-American-children-lag-video

"Whats more troubling is the previous and recent arrest."

Yes, I can't recall any revolvers in the bathrooms, any armed robbery arrests, etc. K-through-8 in CPS WITHOUT EVER SEEING A POLICE OFFICER ON SCHOOL GROUNDS.

A lot different today, huh?

Stay safe.
